A Roblox ban can restrict your whole account or block you from just one experience. Check the moderation notice and any error message to identify who issued it: Roblox account actions use Roblox’s appeal route, while an experience ban is issued by that experience’s creator and must be raised with them. Roblox does not publish a fixed ban-duration ladder; the action and its length depend on the violation and other case-specific factors.
How do Roblox bans work?
Roblox says moderators and automated systems identify behavior that may violate its policies. Depending on the case, the result can be a warning, content removal, or an account-level restriction. Roblox’s Community Standards describe decisions as varying with the violation and the user’s past behavior; repeated violations may lead to more severe consequences. Decisions can involve manual review, automated systems, or both, so this general policy does not establish how a particular case was decided.
Roblox’s Terms of Use also list possible actions including blocking or removing user-generated content, restricting access, suspending or terminating content or an account, and contacting law enforcement. A severe violation may result in account termination without a prior warning, so a warning is not guaranteed before an account ban.
Is it a Roblox account ban or a ban from one experience?
Use the scope of the restriction to choose the right next step. Error Code 267 is the clearest signal of an experience-level ban: Roblox says it means the experience’s creator banned you, not Roblox. The code does not indicate a platform-wide account ban.

| What to check | Roblox account action | Experience-level ban |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Your Roblox account is restricted. | Access to one experience is blocked; other experiences and platform features remain accessible. |
| Who issued it | Roblox moderation. | The experience creator. |
| What rule applies | Roblox policy. | The creator’s custom rules, which must not conflict with Roblox’s Terms or Community Standards and must be clearly available to users. |
| Where to seek review | Use the route in the moderation notice: Violations & Appeals when available, or the Roblox Support Form. | Contact the creator directly, for example through Roblox messaging or the creator’s community wall when available. |
For Error Code 267, Roblox Support cannot remove the creator’s ban or contact the creator on your behalf. Roblox says creators manage enforcement of their own custom rules and Roblox does not handle appeals of those decisions. If you believe the rules or their enforcement violate Roblox policy, Roblox says it may moderate the experience; report the concern through the appropriate Roblox channel rather than treating it as an ordinary account-ban appeal. See Roblox’s Error Code 267 guidance and custom experience rules guidance.
How long do Roblox bans last?
There is no published, universal sequence that assigns a set duration to each violation or number of prior violations. Roblox says moderation outcomes and their duration vary by case, considering the particular violation and past behavior. Check your own notice for the action taken and any stated duration; the general policy does not let you predict a specific account’s reinstatement date.

One specific duration-related rule applies to paid experience access: Roblox says a creator ban from an experience lasting more than 14 days automatically cancels that experience subscription without a refund. This is a subscription consequence, not a general Roblox account-ban duration. Details are in Roblox’s custom experience rules guidance.
How do I appeal a Roblox ban?
For a Roblox moderation action, the notice identifies the review route available for that decision. Some notices provide a direct Violations & Appeals link, where you can submit a reason for reevaluation and track its status. If the relevant violation is not listed there, use the Roblox Support Form. Roblox asks for the username and a brief explanation for an account appeal.

- Submit through the available route. Use Violations & Appeals if the notice offers it; otherwise use the Support Form.
- Provide accurate account details and a concise explanation. Use a valid email address associated with the account. Only the account owner can appeal.
- Submit within the applicable deadline. For general Roblox account or content moderation appeals, the deadline is 30 days after the moderation action.
An appeal requests a review; it does not guarantee reinstatement. Roblox says reviewers consider the violation’s severity, the reason for appeal, and platform behavior. Roblox also says a decision that has already been reviewed cannot be reviewed again, and duplicate appeals will not be reviewed. See Roblox’s appeal guidance.
EU appeal deadline and dispute option
For users in the European Union, Roblox says an initial moderation action can be appealed for up to six months. It also identifies certified out-of-court dispute settlement as an option for disputes about content-moderation decisions. These regional provisions should not be applied to users elsewhere; consult Roblox’s EU guidance for the relevant details.

Can Roblox ban my account for using an exploit?
Roblox’s anti-cheat guidance says modified versions of its app, or software that changes how Roblox works, can lead to account action. Consequences can include a temporary suspension, and repeated use can result in a permanent ban. Roblox recommends using the unmodified Roblox app; its guidance does not establish that any particular person’s ban was caused by cheating. Check the reason in your moderation notice and use the stated appeal route if you believe the action was mistaken. Read Roblox’s anti-cheat guidance.
