If you only want a temporary break, use Privacy settings → Account Deactivation and Deletion → Deactivate instead. Deactivation is reversible; a deletion request should be treated as permanent.
Choose between deactivation and deletion

Roblox says personal-information deletion is handled through account deletion rather than an ordinary setting that preserves the account. Read the current instructions in Roblox’s account-management article.
How to deactivate Roblox temporarily
- Sign in to Roblox.
- Open Privacy settings.
- Find Account Deactivation and Deletion.
- Select Deactivate and complete the confirmation prompts.
The account becomes disabled and the profile is hidden. Roblox says you can reactivate it by logging in at Roblox.com. Deactivation is not a personal-data erasure request, and it may not remove every public-facing item.
How to permanently delete your Roblox account and data
- Open the official Roblox Support form.
- Choose Data Privacy Requests.
- Select Right to Be Forgotten. If the labels have changed, choose the closest current option for account deletion or personal-data erasure under the privacy category.
- State that you want the Roblox account permanently deleted and the personal information associated with it erased.
- Submit the request and complete any identity or account-ownership verification Roblox requires.
- Save the confirmation email or ticket number.
Roblox documents this route in its User Data FAQ. Verification is a normal safeguard against someone fraudulently deleting another person’s account.

Information to include
- Roblox username.
- Email address associated with the account, if you can access it.
- A clear deletion and erasure request.
- Country or state of residence when relevant to your privacy rights.
- Any alternate details that help identify the account.
- An explanation if you cannot log in or no longer control the original email address.
- Parent or guardian details when the request concerns a child.
You can write: “Please permanently delete my Roblox account and the personal information associated with it. My username is [username], and the account email is [email]. I understand this may be irreversible. Please tell me what verification is required.” Do not send a password, one-time authentication code, government ID, or payment-card number unless Roblox specifically requests appropriate verification through its official support process.
What Roblox may retain after deletion
Roblox’s Privacy and Cookie Policy, effective April 30, 2026, says account deletion initiates permanent deletion of data in Roblox’s systems, but legal and operational exceptions apply.
- Persistent identifiers may be processed for up to two years after deletion for safety and security.
- Billing information and transaction histories may be retained for disputes, inquiries, legal, or regulatory obligations.
- Account history may be retained for customer-service purposes and to provide, improve, and develop the service.
- Other records may remain when a law, regulator, fraud-prevention need, or similar exception requires it.
That means deletion is not necessarily instantaneous removal of every record or copy.

Age-verification and facial-estimation information
Roblox says information collected for age assurance, such as images used for facial age estimation, is deleted once that process is complete. The account-deletion instructions do not promise a separate self-service switch that removes one verification category while keeping the account active. If you have a specific concern, select Data Privacy Requests and describe the data category you want Roblox to review.
Creations, messages, purchases, and game data
Account-linked content
Deletion can affect access to your profile, creations, messages, Robux-related history, purchases, subscriptions, and other account-linked material. Save anything you are legally and practically entitled to keep before submitting an irreversible request. Roblox does not state that every creation, chat message, statistic, or Marketplace item disappears instantly in every location.
Marketplace listings and public information
Deactivation may leave some information visible, including Marketplace listings. If you only want a post, avatar item, or listing removed, use the relevant Roblox moderation, content, or support route rather than deleting the entire account.

Data held by individual experiences
A Roblox game or creator may keep personal information in separate systems or data stores. Roblox’s creator guidance says creators may receive a deletion notification and should delete personal information that is no longer needed. Mention the relevant experience or creator in your privacy request if game-specific data is your concern. See Roblox’s creator right-to-erasure guidance and its automation documentation.
Copies outside Roblox
Deletion from Roblox cannot guarantee removal of screenshots, messages, recordings, or other copies held by other users or third-party services.

Requests for children under 13
Roblox says users under 13 should have a parent or legal guardian submit privacy-related requests. The parent or guardian should open the official Support form, choose Data Privacy Requests, explain that the request concerns a child’s account, and provide the information Roblox needs to verify both the account and the requester’s authority. A child should not try to bypass those checks.

Privacy rights and response times vary by location
Roblox’s User Data FAQ says available rights can include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection, depending on jurisdiction. Do not assume that every country or region uses the same form, deadline, or exception.
For US state privacy requests, the US State Privacy Policy Addendum lists the Customer Support Form and, where applicable, [email protected] or (888) 858-BLOX. It says Roblox will generally confirm receipt within 10 days and respond within 45 days, subject to applicable law, verification, and exceptions. Those timelines are not a universal promise for every user or request; EEA, UK, Swiss, Brazilian, Korean, and other users may follow different rules.

You cannot log in
Use Roblox Support and explain that the account is inaccessible. Provide alternative ownership details and expect verification. Do not create a second account as a substitute for proving ownership, and do not delete the original email address first.

The form labels look different
Support menus can change. Stay in the privacy-request area and choose the closest wording, such as Right to Be Forgotten, Delete personal information, Account deletion, or Data deletion.
Verification fails or no confirmation arrives
Reply through the official Roblox ticket or Support domain, explain the problem, and keep your ticket number. Roblox may limit or deny a request it cannot verify.
You expected immediate erasure
Allow for verification, jurisdiction-specific processing, creator-operated data stores, and the retention exceptions in Roblox’s privacy policy. Do not treat the absence of a visible profile as proof that every backend record has already been removed.
Actions that do not delete Roblox-held data
- Uninstalling the Roblox app.
- Clearing browser cookies or local app data.
- Signing out.
- Removing a saved payment method.
- Canceling Premium.
- Deleting a child’s device profile.
These actions affect a device, subscription, or payment setting; they do not submit an account-deletion request to Roblox.
