Brick Bastion was originally unlocked by winning nine matches during Bastion’s limited-time Brick Challenge in September 2019. That event ended on September 30, 2019, so its nine-win requirement is historical—not a confirmed way to get the skin today. Blizzard’s current availability for Brick Bastion is not established here; check the in-game shop and official Overwatch announcements for any return.
How the original Brick Bastion unlock worked
During Bastion’s Brick Challenge, players earned rewards by winning matches in Quick Play, Arcade, Competitive, or a mix of those modes. A contemporary Digital Trends report listed the milestones as follows:
| Wins | Historical reward |
|---|---|
| 3 | Two player icons |
| 6 | Two sprays |
| 9 | Brick Bastion legendary skin |
The event ran through September 30, 2019. These requirements describe that concluded event, not a live challenge. Digital Trends’ 2019 event coverage is the source for the milestones and deadline.
Can you get Brick Bastion now?
Current availability is not confirmed by an official Blizzard statement in the sources available here. A 2026 community discussion says Brick Bastion is not in current loot box tables, but that is not proof that the skin cannot appear in a shop rotation or return in a future event. Do not count on the old nine-win challenge as a current unlock route. Check the Overwatch in-game shop and Blizzard’s official announcements for any confirmed availability.

Does a LEGO Bastion product unlock the skin?
No redemption offer is established. The LEGO connection is about the skin’s design, not a verified code or physical-product promotion. In a LEGO Group interview transcript, product-line representative Sten Funder Lysdahl said the skin was “definitely a Blizzard idea”; he described its LEGO influence as a tribute, with the Overwatch team developing its colors, build, rigging, shading, and sound treatment in dialogue with LEGO. The transcript does not say that buying a LEGO Bastion collectible grants the digital skin. Read the LEGO Group interview transcript.
