First check whether the blue circle appears only inside one Roblox experience or also beside your pointer elsewhere on your desktop. An experience can set its own mouse icon; a circle that persists across apps is more likely an operating-system busy indicator. The right fix depends on which you are seeing.
Find out where the circle appears
- Only inside one experience: The experience may have chosen a custom cursor. Roblox Creator Hub documents how creators can change the mouse icon, including an example that displays a circle with a blue dot (Mouse and keyboard input).
- Across the desktop or after closing Roblox: It may be a system busy indicator rather than a Roblox cursor setting. Roblox’s creator-side cursor controls are not a universal player preference. The available Roblox guidance does not establish a reliable Windows-specific fix, so avoid registry edits or unverified process-killing instructions.
- Alongside a stuck load or connection problem: Troubleshoot Roblox loading or connectivity as well as the cursor. A circle by itself does not establish that Roblox is the cause.
If the circle appears only in one experience
Look for a cursor or accessibility option in that experience’s settings, if it offers one, or contact the experience’s creator. Roblox documents the scripting controls for developers, not a player-wide switch that overrides every experience.
In a Roblox experience, developers can hide the cursor with UserInputService.MouseIconEnabled = false. That is a creator-side control, not a setting players can apply globally. Roblox also notes that interface elements such as buttons or prompts can temporarily override the selected cursor icon (UserInputService reference).
If Roblox is loading slowly or will not connect
Use Roblox Support’s connection guidance and try these checks one at a time; an individual experience can also be the source of a problem (General Connection Problems):

- Use an up-to-date browser supported by Roblox, and check its security settings.
- Check whether your wireless connection is slow or inconsistent.
- Temporarily disable ad-blocking or other browser extensions to test whether one is interfering.
- Check whether a firewall or network restriction is blocking the connection.
- If the issue happens in only one experience, consider that the experience itself may be having a problem.
If the problem is on the Roblox website
For a website-specific issue, Roblox Support recommends clearing temporary browser files and cookies and testing extensions. Disable extensions one at a time so you can identify whether one is involved. If the issue remains, contact Roblox Support with your username, any error text, the affected page, your device model and operating-system version, steps to reproduce the issue, and recent relevant changes (General Website Issues).

Check the Roblox Status page if several Roblox features or users seem affected. Its status is a snapshot: when checked, all systems were operational, and an incident dated October 5, 2026 was marked resolved. A green status does not rule out a problem specific to your device, account, network, or one experience.
