In the weeks around Dragon’s Dogma 2’s March 22, 2024 launch, players used its flexible character creator to make recognizable approximations of celebrities, fictional characters and meme figures. GameSpot reported examples before release, and Forbes published a gallery on March 11, 2024. That coverage documents a launch-period burst—not a current popularity ranking or proof that the trend is still viral.
What players were making
Launch-period coverage showed a range of recognizable creations, from familiar pop-culture figures to comic or unusual designs. GameSpot’s pre-release report and Forbes’ March 11, 2024 gallery offer examples, but neither establishes a definitive list or ranking. These are player-made approximations, not official character additions to the game.

The appeal is partly the challenge: players adjust a character’s appearance until it suggests a known person or character, then share the result for others to recognize. Since there is no measured ranking in the cited coverage, the examples are best understood as snapshots of what individual players chose to make.
How the character creator connects to the game
Capcom’s separate Character Creator & Storage app lets players build and save character data for transfer to Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is available separately. Steam lists the creator app’s release date as March 7, 2024. The app is a creation and storage tool; it does not mean another player’s finished character can automatically be imported into your game.

How players could reproduce a shared design
Some players shared slider values or walkthrough videos to help others manually approximate a look. A Steam Community discussion documents this kind of player-to-player guidance, but it is anecdotal rather than official instructions. The supported approach is to use those details as a manual guide in the creator, not to assume there is a universal feature for importing arbitrary creations made by other players.
- Open Capcom’s Character Creator & Storage app and build or edit a character.
- Use a creator’s shared slider values or video as a reference, adjusting the appearance manually. Results may differ if values are incomplete or the steps are hard to follow.
- Transfer your own saved character data into the separately available Dragon’s Dogma 2 using the app’s transfer function.
Sharing screenshots in 2026
For players who want to share in-game photographs, Capcom’s July 3, 2026 Snapshots invitation asks participants to post with #CapcomSnapshots. Capcom says using the tag grants permission for it to share the submitted content and the participant’s social media handle. This is an official photo-sharing route, but it does not show how popular character recreations are now.
