Events and Circuit Experience
The World Circuits events are at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP Layout No Chicane, Suzuka Circuit, and Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa. The Circuit Experience is for Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross Layout. These are events and a layout experience—not an announcement of three entirely new circuits.
Rules and other adjustments
Version 1.71 adds a mechanical-damage option for Championships, revises target times and demonstrations, and makes shortcut-penalty criteria less strict. It also updates PS5 Pro PSSR use and revises regulations in the Power Pack. These changes affect how existing content is played or presented rather than adding another car or circuit.

What “new track content” can mean
Update notices use distinct labels for circuits, layouts, events, and Circuit Experiences. A new event at a named circuit creates another activity there; it does not necessarily mean the game gained a new circuit. A Circuit Experience may feature a particular layout, including a reverse or rallycross configuration. Read the specific item in the notice before describing it as a new track.
Version 1.70, dated June 11, 2026, illustrates the range. It added events at Fisherman’s Ranch, Watkins Glen Long Course, Le Mans 24 Hours Racing Circuit, Sardegna Road Track A, and Eiger Nordwand Reverse, plus a Circuit Experience at Fisherman’s Ranch Full Course Reverse. Those additions include several event locations and a layout-based experience, so a simple “five new tracks” description would be misleading. See the official version 1.70 notice.

Updates can add modes, menus, and unlockable features
The same 1.70 notice added Café Extra Menu No. 54, a Seasonal Menu, engine swaps for five named cars, and a Scapes curation. These additions differ in how players reach them: some are menu or presentation content, while others depend on progression or collection level.
- Seasonal Menu: available after completing Menu Book No. 39, “Championship: World GT Series,” and watching the ending.
- Listed engine swaps: require Collector Level 50.
Requirements belong beside the feature they govern: an item appearing in an update notice does not mean every player can use it immediately.

Not every update feature is available on every platform
Update 1.69 explicitly describes the Power Pack as paid DLC exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of Gran Turismo 7. Version 1.71’s Power Pack regulation revisions therefore concern that add-on; do not treat them as a universally available base-game feature. Check the relevant notice for platform and DLC qualifications. Official Gran Turismo 7 news and update notices.
Updates also adjust existing gameplay and fix issues
New content is only one part of an update. Official notes can revise event regulations, target times, penalties, controls, display settings, localization, and other issues. For example, version 1.71 changes shortcut-penalty criteria and target times, while version 1.56 documents force-feedback changes involving the Thrustmaster T300RS and Fanatec GT DD Pro/Extreme wheels. The notice says T300RS output was reduced by 10 percent to reduce motor strain. This is an adjustment to supported equipment, not a requirement to own a wheel to receive update content. - For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
A practical way to read an update notice
- Sort additions by type: identify cars, circuit events or layouts, menus or modes, and adjustments separately.
- Check access conditions: look for progression or Collector Level unlocks, platform restrictions, and paid-DLC requirements next to each item.
- Describe track changes precisely: distinguish a new event at an existing circuit from a new layout or Circuit Experience.
- Scan the adjustments: note changes to rules, times, penalties, controls, settings, and fixes even if the headline focuses on cars.
Update status changes over time; version 1.71 is the latest official notice identified here, dated August 20, 2026.
