Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ end credits were reported to take about two hours to roll on screen. A separate captured PC credits video was reported to run three and a half hours, but that is not the same as an official measurement of the in-game roll. The reports make a record plausible, not verified.
How long are the Assassin’s Creed Shadows credits?
Insider Gaming reported on March 21, 2025, that the on-screen end-credit roll takes about two hours. The outlet separately described a captured PC credits video that ran three and a half hours; it did not establish that video’s length as the game’s ordinary on-screen runtime. Insider Gaming’s report and AUTOMATON’s March 24, 2025 report both put the roll at roughly two hours.
The distinction matters: a video’s total duration can reflect how it was captured or played back, while an in-game roll depends on its scroll speed and presentation. Neither report supplies a standardized timing procedure that would make these figures a formal benchmark.
Why does the roll take so long?
AUTOMATON observed that the credits place one name on each line and put role and department labels on separate lines. Combined with slow scrolling, those layout choices can make a credit sequence longer. This is the outlet’s analysis of the presentation, not an explanation attributed to Ubisoft.

A long roll can reflect both the number of people and contributions being credited and the space the design gives each entry. The available reporting does not quantify how much time comes from either factor.
Do the credits set a video-game record?
That remains unverified. The reports offer selected comparisons, not a complete survey of games measured under one method. AUTOMATON cited roughly 50 minutes for Assassin’s Creed Mirage, 16 minutes for The Last of Us Part II, and 40 minutes for Cyberpunk 2077. Insider Gaming listed examples credited to Video Game Credits: 1 hour 8 minutes for GTA V Enhanced, 1 hour 6 minutes for Hearts of Iron IV, 1 hour 7 minutes for Gangstar New Orleans, 1 hour 15 minutes for Battlefield 2042, and 1 hour 19 minutes for The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection. These are reported figures, not controlled comparisons.

Scroll speed, playback or fast-forward settings, platform, and whether role labels get their own lines can all affect a duration. The reports do not establish a shared protocol across these games. Insider Gaming’s comments also include a reader’s claim that Mighty No. 9 has four-hour credits; that anecdote is not reliable record verification. No authoritative all-game record list or standardized measurement is established by the cited coverage.
When do the credits appear in the game?
In a July 2025 roadmap, Ubisoft said New Game+ would unlock after the final story mission and after the credits had rolled. That dated update is separate from the March 2025 reports about how long the sequence takes. Ubisoft’s June 2026 final-update announcement later described a new story arc and the Domains feature.
