The first Destiny 2: Forsaken Last Wish raid clear took 18 hours and 48 minutes. Clan Redeem earned World First, finishing in the early hours of September 15, 2018, after the raid opened the previous day. Guinness World Records gives the precise elapsed time; Bungie’s recap confirms Redeem’s win and describes the effort as an 18-plus-hour adventure.
What happened in the first-clear race?
Last Wish launched on September 14, 2018, and Clan Redeem was the first team to complete it. Bungie’s September 20 recap identifies Redeem as the World First winner and says Senior Designer Joe Blackburn was there with Bungie’s analytics team to verify the completion. Bungie’s recap characterizes the run as a “nearly 19-hour marathon.”
Guinness World Records dates Redeem’s start to the evening of September 14 and its finish to the early hours of September 15, reporting an elapsed time of 18 hours and 48 minutes. The exact minute count comes from Guinness, rather than Bungie’s recap.
Does 18 hours and 48 minutes mean a speedrun record?
No. It is the reported duration of the 2018 World First race: the time Clan Redeem took to achieve the first clear. A speedrun is a separate record category for a later attempt to finish the raid as quickly as possible. Guinness discusses those speedrun attempts separately, so their times should not be used as the duration of the original race.
