Roblox does not publish a standard review time for appeals, so there is no official number of hours or days to expect. The moderation notice tells you which appeal route to use; if your case is eligible for Violations & Appeals, you can check the asset’s status there.
How long does a Roblox appeal take?
Roblox’s official appeal and moderation guidance describes what happens when an appeal is reviewed, but does not give a general processing-time estimate or response-time guarantee. Avoid relying on a specific wait quoted elsewhere as Roblox’s official timeline.
An appeal asks Roblox to review a moderation decision; it does not guarantee the consequence will be removed. Roblox says its team gives the decision a second look and may adjust the account’s moderation status. A short consequence may already have ended by the time the appeal is considered.
Choose the appeal route in your moderation notice
The moderation notification identifies the available appeal option. Roblox directs users to Violations & Appeals for certain eligible violation categories; if the violation is not listed there, use the Support Form as directed.

| Route | When to use it | Status visibility | What to include |
|---|---|---|---|
| Violations & Appeals | For certain eligible categories, when the notice provides access to this route. | Roblox says users can monitor an asset’s status in the interface. | Use the appeal option and explain why the decision should be reviewed. |
| Roblox Support Form | When the violation is not listed in Violations & Appeals, or the notice directs you to Support. | Roblox’s reviewed guidance does not promise the same live status-tracking interface. | Provide the account or content details required for your case. |
For an account appeal through the Support Form, provide the account username and a brief explanation. For a content appeal, provide the username, a brief reason, the asset ID, and a link to the Roblox content. Appeals must come from the account owner and a valid email address associated with the account. Roblox’s Contact Us page also requests your username, device, and help category, and directs moderation appeals to the dedicated appeal instructions.
Only the account owner may appeal an account or content moderation action. Roblox allows a parent or guardian to discuss a child’s account under its stated privacy exception, but another player cannot submit the appeal on the owner’s behalf.

Check status and follow up without duplicating the appeal
- If you used Violations & Appeals, check the asset’s status in that interface.
- If your notice directed you to the Support Form, keep your submission details and use the official support channel for that case.
- Do not submit the same appeal again to try to speed it up. Roblox says duplicate appeals for the same action will not be reviewed, and a moderation decision already reviewed cannot be reviewed again.
Roblox does not publish a recommended follow-up interval or a Support Form response-time service level in the guidance cited below. Keep the review duration separate from the deadline for filing: the deadline is not an estimate of how long Roblox will take to respond.
Know the appeal deadline
Roblox’s general rule is to submit an appeal within 30 days of the moderation action. EU users may appeal an initial moderation action for up to six months. These are submission windows, not review-time estimates. Follow the instructions and regional terms that apply to your case.

For relevant content-moderation disputes, Roblox describes an option for EU users to select a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body. UK users also have rights described under the Online Safety Act; the applicable process depends on the user’s role and the case. Use the route and guidance that apply to your location and moderation notice.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What Roblox considers when reviewing an appeal
Roblox says it considers the severity of the moderation action, the reason for the appeal, and the user’s behavior. An appeal may not be useful for a time-limited consequence that has already expired—for example, a 20-minute timeout that has ended. Explain the specific reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered, but do not assume that filing will reverse it.
