For the three bundles in KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III], plan on roughly 160 hours for the playable story campaigns, or about 165 hours if you also watch the three included movie compilations. Adding optional content raises the reported total to around 225 hours; completionist runs across the included entries exceed 430 hours. These are rounded averages based on player-submitted HowLongToBeat data, not official Square Enix estimates or a promise of how long your own run will take.
What counts as the Kingdom Hearts collection?
Square Enix’s announced KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] combines three bundles: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind DLC. Square Enix lists the collection for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a scheduled release date of October 8, 2026. As of October 7, 2026, that release is still in the future. Square Enix’s collection page lists physical purchase options for some platforms.
Playable games and included movies
The first bundle includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, and Birth by Sleep Final Mix. It also includes HD cinematic compilations for 358/2 Days and Re:coded; these are story presentations to watch, not playable remasters. Square Enix’s support FAQ identifies those two cinematic entries.
2.8 Final Chapter Prologue adds the playable Dream Drop Distance HD and 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage –, plus the χ Back Cover movie. III + Re Mind contains Kingdom Hearts III and its Re Mind DLC.

Does Melody of Memory count?
Melody of Memory is not listed among the three bundles on Square Enix’s collection page. If by “the collection” you mean a broader set of playable series entries, it can be counted separately; its reported main-story time is about nine hours.
How long are the three bundles?
The estimates below are player averages attributed to HowLongToBeat and reported by How To Video Game. That guide says it checked the figures on September 24, 2026, and rounded them to the nearest hour; its article was published September 27, 2026. Actual times vary with difficulty and exploration. “Main story + extras” includes additional content beyond the core story, while “completionist” represents a much more thorough run.

Longest main story: Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
At about 30 hours, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix has the longest listed main-story estimate in the three bundles. That makes it the largest single story commitment among the entries shown, though individual play styles can shift the actual time.

Longest completionist run: Birth by Sleep Final Mix
Birth by Sleep Final Mix has the highest listed completionist estimate, at about 97 hours. It has separate campaigns for Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, as well as a secret final chapter, which helps explain why a thorough run takes much longer than its roughly 26-hour main story.
What if you mean every playable Kingdom Hearts entry?
Counting Melody of Memory separately adds about nine hours for its reported main story, 16 hours for main story plus extras, or 53 hours for completionist play. The guide’s estimate for that title is separate from the three-bundle Collection [I~III] totals. It should not be confused with the included movie compilations, which are watched rather than played as full remasters.
