Its guidance says you will receive an email when the sanction is lifted, and that Ubisoft cannot remove a temporary lock. Avoid relying on a countdown such as 15 minutes or 24 hours; the official guidance gives no duration or failed-attempt threshold. See Ubisoft Help’s temporary-lock guidance.
What “suspended” can mean on a Ubisoft account
Ubisoft’s support guidance calls the restriction associated with too many failed login attempts a temporary lock. The word “suspended” can also refer to other sanctions, so the message you received—and whether you can still sign in to Ubisoft services—matters.
- Temporary account lock: Ubisoft says this can follow too many failed login attempts. It blocks access to Ubisoft login pages, online games, and services. Ubisoft does not state how many attempts trigger it or how long it lasts. Ubisoft Help: Temporary locks on Ubisoft accounts
- Permanent account lock: Ubisoft treats this separately from a temporary lock. If you believe a permanent lock was applied in error, Ubisoft says you can appeal it. Ubisoft Help: Information about Ubisoft account locks
- Game-specific temporary ban: A ban in a particular game is not the same as locking the Ubisoft account. Ubisoft says players can still access other Ubisoft websites, games, or services during a game-specific temporary ban. Ubisoft Help: Rainbow Six Siege temporary bans
What to do while the temporary lock is active
- Check the email linked to your Ubisoft account. Look in the inbox and in spam or junk folders for Ubisoft’s notice. Ubisoft Help says, “You will receive an email once the sanction has been lifted from your account.” That email is the published indication that the temporary lock has ended.
- Wait for the lock to be lifted. Ubisoft says it cannot remove temporary locks. Its guidance does not give a manual override, fixed waiting period, countdown, or attempt limit, so do not assume support can shorten the lock or that a specific wait guarantees access.
- Check what still works. If you can sign in to Ubisoft websites or other services but cannot access one game, the issue may be a game-specific sanction rather than a temporary account lock. Check the exact wording of the notice.
Secure your account after access returns
Once you can sign in, change your password and enable 2-Step verification. Ubisoft also advises keeping your credentials private and reviewing your login history for unfamiliar activity. These steps can help protect the account if the failed attempts were not yours. Ubisoft Help: Securing your Ubisoft account
When the lock may involve suspicious activity
Ubisoft’s Terms of Use discuss suspension in the broader context of suspected unauthorized access or suspicious activity. That general legal context does not establish why a particular account was restricted or how long a failed-login temporary lock will last. For an account-specific restriction, follow the notice Ubisoft sent and use its account support process. Ubisoft Terms of Use
