How long does the campaign take?
The best practical estimate for a straightforward story run is six to seven hours. The two published figures come from different kinds of evidence:

If you are planning around the main story, reserve roughly one long evening or split the six to seven hours across shorter sessions. Difficulty, retries, and pace can change an individual run, but the cited figures do not quantify how much.
What does that playtime include?
The estimate is for the single-player campaign, not every mode in the game. Activision presents Campaign, Multiplayer, and Nazi Zombies as separate parts of Call of Duty: WWII on its official game overview.

Campaign
The story follows a young recruit in the U.S. First Infantry Division from his first combat experience on D-Day through battles across Europe, including the Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, according to the official campaign page.
Multiplayer and Nazi Zombies
Multiplayer includes competitive modes and the objective-focused War Mode. Nazi Zombies is a separate cooperative mode built around a horror story about recovering artwork stolen by Axis forces in Mittelburg, Germany; see the official Zombies page. Neither mode is included in campaign completion estimates. Activision’s overview also describes DLC packs with additional multiplayer maps, War missions, and Zombies chapters, which are likewise outside a campaign-only figure.

Is there an official campaign-length figure?
Activision’s official pages describe the campaign and the other modes but do not state how many hours the campaign takes. The six-to-seven-hour answer is therefore a useful planning estimate drawn from GameSpot’s individual Normal run and the third-party HowLongToBeat main-story figure, not a duration promised by Activision or the developers.
