What can change your playtime?
Time Stranger is a single-player monster-taming RPG with turn-based battles, Digimon collecting and raising, and a story across the human and Digital worlds, according to Bandai Namco’s game page. How quickly you move through its story and optional systems will affect your total time.
- Optional content and exploration: Extra activities and time spent exploring can extend a run beyond a story-focused playthrough.
- Battle pace: Your approach to turn-based encounters and how much time you spend preparing can affect the hours spent progressing.

Do the estimates include the DLC?
That is not established by the cited time listings. Bandai Namco’s Europe page describes additional story content and recommends playing it after the main story because of its difficulty. Since Deku Deals and TrueAchievements do not clearly say whether their time estimates include that content, use them as estimates for the listed game tracking categories rather than a confirmed total with DLC.

Bandai Namco lists Digimon Story: Time Stranger for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on its official game page. Switch and Switch 2 editions became available after the initial 2025 release; the publisher’s October 3, 2025 overview covers the initial release and feature context.
