GameSpot’s playtime estimates describe different ways of playing, so the typical range is the most useful expectation for a first run that includes some exploration. Your own time can fall outside it depending on how often you search areas, retry encounters or pursue optional goals.
Is there New Game Plus in Resident Evil Requiem?
No traditional New Game Plus mode is reported. Game8 says that after completing the game once, you can replay the main story with bonus content unlocked through the Special Content menu. That is a post-completion replay, not evidence of a conventional NG+ system with broad save carryover.

Game8’s explanation of the replay option does not establish exactly which weapons, upgrades, inventory items or resources carry over, so do not assume that the replay preserves your full first-run loadout.
What does Capcom’s completion-time statistic count?
Capcom’s Resident Evil.Net search result describes a worldwide average first-playthrough completion-time metric that includes restarts, cutscenes and pauses. Its numeric value was not visible in the result, so there is no official average to compare directly with GameSpot’s estimates here. The two measures also use different methods: one is a tracked average with a stated clock definition, while the other separates estimated play styles.
