Why your playthrough may take longer
Nioh 3 includes freely explorable open fields, yokai encounters, and the Crucible, as well as distinct Samurai and Ninja combat styles, according to KOEI TECMO America’s game page. Exploring optional areas and taking on side activities can make a run substantially broader than a story-focused one, but the publisher does not assign those activities a specific number of hours. Your total will depend on what you choose to explore and how quickly you progress; there is no established, evidence-based time multiplier for skill or play style.
How long is the Hell Rising expansion?
Keep the expansion separate from the base-game estimates. A TechRadar reviewer reported spending about 8–10 hours on Hell Rising, including its main missions and bosses, exploring most of the map, and completing a handful of side quests. That is one reviewer’s playthrough, not a community average or a base-game figure. Game director Masaki Fujita told TechRadar that “The DLC takes place after the main story.”

Which platforms have Nioh 3?
KOEI TECMO’s February 6, 2026 launch announcement lists Nioh 3 for PS5 and Windows PC via Steam, and confirms a physical PS5 edition. It also describes the Treasure Box edition as including the base game, a keychain, desk pad, official artbook, and soundtrack CD. Edition and stock availability can vary by retailer.
