Roblox does not publish a fixed number of bans that automatically leads to a permanent account ban. It says moderation depends on the seriousness and impact of a violation, a user’s history and whether they have repeatedly broken its policies. Repeated violations may bring harsher consequences, while severe violations can result in immediate termination without a prior warning.
Why there is no set number of bans
Roblox describes enforcement as case-specific, not as a public strike-count system. Its content moderation guidance says the action depends on the violation and that Roblox considers a user’s history and repeated violations. That means claims that a particular number of bans guarantees termination are not an official Roblox rule.
In its Terms of Use, Roblox says repeated violations can lead to account termination, and severe violations may result in termination without a previous warning. The Terms give hate speech as an example: Roblox may warn or suspend a user for a day or longer, then terminate the account if the user repeats the conduct. This illustrates possible outcomes; it does not promise a uniform sequence of warnings and suspensions for every case.
First check what kind of ban you received
A ban from one Roblox experience is different from a moderation action against your Roblox account. Check the notice for who issued the action, what it applies to and how long it lasts.

|---|---|---|---|
| Ban from an experience | The experience creator, under that experience’s rules | That experience; it does not itself block other experiences or Roblox features | Contact the experience creator. Roblox explains this distinction in its Banned from an Experience guidance. |
| Roblox account moderation | Roblox | Your account, with the restriction and duration described in the moderation notice | Use the appeal route identified in the notice or Roblox’s appeal guidance. |
What can make a Roblox account action more serious?
Roblox says it may use measures ranging from warnings and content removal to account-level restrictions. The action and its duration depend on the violation; a history of repeated violations may increase the severity. The published policy examples are not a guaranteed ladder that every account moves through.
Repeated policy violations
Roblox states: “Repeated violations of our policies may increase the severity of consequences (i.e., a warning, followed by a timeout, followed by a suspension, etc.).” The examples show that consequences can escalate, but they do not establish a set count that triggers a permanent ban.

Severe violations
Roblox’s Terms say severe violations may result in termination without a prior warning. So a user should not assume that a first moderation action must be a warning or that several warnings will always come before termination.
Using a modified Roblox app
Roblox says using a modified version of its app can lead to temporary suspension or a permanent ban if repeated. Its anti-cheat guidance recommends using the official, unmodified app, but does not specify how many prior actions would lead to a permanent ban.

How to appeal a Roblox account moderation action
- Read the moderation notice. Check the reason, restriction and duration, then use the appeal option it provides. Some eligible categories can be appealed in Violations & Appeals; other actions may require Roblox’s Support Form.
- Submit the appeal within the applicable deadline. Roblox’s appeal guidance says appeals generally must be filed within 30 days of the moderation action. Users in the European Union have six months to appeal an initial moderation action.
- Explain why the decision should be reviewed. For an account appeal through the Support Form, Roblox asks for the account username and a brief explanation. Keep the appeal focused on the decision and the information relevant to it.
- Wait for the review rather than filing duplicates. An appeal does not guarantee that Roblox will remove the consequence. Roblox says a moderation action that has been reviewed cannot be reviewed again through a duplicate appeal.
What to take away from a ban notice
Look first at the scope of the restriction: one experience or your Roblox account. Then identify the issuer, the stated reason and duration, and the appeal route and deadline. Those details—not an unofficial count of past bans—tell you which rules and next steps apply.
Roblox’s policies and appeal procedures can change. For an active case, follow the current instructions in your notice and check the linked Roblox guidance.
