There is no verified China-specific count in the official sources reviewed. Roblox’s published daily-active-user figures are global totals, not a measure of players in China, so they cannot be used to calculate a Chinese player count.
Is there an official count of Roblox players in China?
No China-specific player figure was identified in the official sources reviewed. Roblox’s public figures cited here do not say how many users are in mainland China, and they do not provide a basis for estimating that number.
The metric also matters: daily active users, monthly active users, registered accounts and downloads describe different things. A count would need to specify both the geography—such as mainland China rather than a broader Chinese-speaking population—and what is being counted.
What does Roblox say about access in China?
Roblox’s 2023 annual report described a localized China client called Luobulesi. It said the app was not then available to users in China while Roblox and Tencent worked on a next version. The report also described a 2019 joint venture with Songhua River Investment Limited, an affiliate of Tencent Holdings, in which Roblox held a 51% interest, and said Tencent received a required publishing license for Luobulesi in December 2020.

- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
Those statements describe the period covered by the 2023 report; they do not establish Luobulesi’s availability in 2026. Nor do they report how many people played it. The available evidence therefore does not support treating access, licensing, or the existence of a localized client as a player-count figure.
Why Roblox’s global player totals do not answer the question
Roblox reported 111.8 million average daily active users worldwide in Q2 2025 in its Q2 2025 results release. That is a global average for that quarter, not a China total.

For comparison, Roblox reported 85.3 million average daily active users worldwide in Q4 2024 in its Q4 and full-year 2024 results release. This is another global figure, from a different reporting period. Neither release supplies a China-specific share, so dividing or otherwise extrapolating from these totals would produce an unsupported estimate.
