Which PS5 version should you choose?
Choose the Digital Edition for download-only gaming
The PS5 Slim Digital Edition has no built-in disc drive. It is designed for digital downloads and PlayStation Store purchases. Sony says it can be expanded with a separately sold disc drive; the compatibility note applies to the CFI-2000 Slim model group and requires an internet connection during setup to pair the drive with the console. Check Sony’s console options and disc-drive details.
Choose the disc model if you want physical games
The PS5 Slim disc model can play PS5 and PS4 Blu-ray games as well as downloaded titles. Its official suggested price is RMB 400 more than the Digital Edition. Consider whether you want to use physical games before deciding whether that price difference is worthwhile.
