Published Xbox One controller weights range from 232 g (8.18 oz) to 280 g (9.9 oz), depending on the product and what is included in the measurement. Microsoft specifies 280 g with two AA alkaline batteries for its Xbox Controller + Cable for Windows; another Microsoft technical sheet lists 232 g without stating the battery condition alongside the figure. These numbers are not directly interchangeable.

Why the published weights differ
The figures describe different products or bundles, and only one explicitly says that two AA batteries are included. The sources do not establish that the controller revisions, included accessories, or weighing methods are identical. Treat the values as product-specific specifications rather than competing measurements of one unchanged controller.

Do not estimate a bare-controller weight by subtracting an assumed battery mass from the 280 g figure: the other sources do not provide a matching measurement with batteries removed. If you are comparing controllers, use the same battery state and record whether a cable or other accessory is included.
Does the current Xbox Wireless Controller page give a weight?
Microsoft’s current Xbox Wireless Controller product page identifies compatibility with Xbox One, but it does not provide a weight in the cited source.
