The cost may fall after a period without resetting talents, but the reported minimum is disputed. Check the fee shown by your class trainer before you confirm.
Classic Era respec costs
The schedule most often reported for Classic Era is:

This schedule comes from a guide excerpt reproduced in a Blizzard forum thread, rather than a current official price table. That excerpt says the fee is independent of character level and the number of talent points reset.
Does the cost go down over time?
The guide excerpt says the fee falls by 5 gold for each month without a reset, to a minimum of 15 gold. Players in a related forum discussion report a 10-gold minimum instead. The available evidence does not resolve that disagreement, so do not count on a specific floor.

How to check your character’s fee
- Visit a class trainer in the version and realm where you play.
- Open the talent-reset or unlearning service and read the displayed cost.
- Confirm only if you are ready to pay that amount.
The Classic Era API reference documents a trainer-service cost query, GetTrainerServiceCost, which returns trainer service costs in copper. It does not publish the respec schedule; the in-game trainer display is the practical check.
Which version of Classic WoW does this apply to?
“Classic WoW” covers more than one game version and realm ruleset. The amounts above describe the commonly reported Classic Era schedule; the available sources do not establish that it applies unchanged to every current Classic version. Check the trainer fee in the version you play.

Do not use later retail rules to infer a Classic Era price. Blizzard’s 5.0.4 Survival Guide describes a later system that allowed resetting an individual talent with a Tome of Clear Mind or resetting all talents at a class trainer. It is not evidence for Classic Era fees.
