When someone buys your own game pass inside your game, Roblox takes 30% of the Robux spent and you receive 70% in Robux. A 100-Robux pass therefore pays you 70 Robux, not $70 or an automatic cash payout. The split changes when your game sells a pass created by someone else.
Roblox’s cut on your own game pass

When the pass belongs to another creator
If your game sells a pass created by someone else, the documented split is different: the pass owner receives 60%, your game receives a 10% affiliate fee, and Roblox takes 30%. The 10% is for the owner of the game in which the sale occurs; it is not part of the pass owner’s 60%.

These are in-game game-pass transactions. They are not the same as selling an avatar item through the Marketplace, which is a different transaction and should not be compared using these splits.

What a game pass is—and what the split applies to
Roblox Creator Hub describes passes as “Special privileges within a game that users can purchase once, like entry to a restricted area, an in-game avatar item, or a permanent power-up.” The percentages above apply to the Robux spent on the pass when sold in-game. Robux earnings are not the same as cash
Your 70% share is earned in Robux. Converting eligible Earned Robux into money is a separate step through Roblox’s Developer Exchange (DevEx), which has eligibility requirements and rules for what counts as Earned Robux. Roblox also lists a higher rate of $0.0054 per Earned Robux for certain qualifying purchases of passes, subscriptions, developer products, or private servers made by eligible U.S. players verified as at least 18 years old.
