So there is no reliable number to give for “killing Santa.”
Why there is no fixed karma loss
Reddit describes karma as an approximate reflection of the votes your posts and comments receive. It explicitly says the relationship between votes and karma is not one-to-one, so even a known number of downvotes does not reveal an exact karma change. Reddit’s karma explanation does not set a special penalty for a particular topic or action.

What votes mean on Reddit
Reddit says upvotes indicate that users think content contributes positively to a community or the site, while downvotes signal the opposite assessment. Those votes can affect karma, but the resulting amount is not a direct tally. Reddit’s voting guidance also notes that vote counts may be hidden during the first hours after a post is created, or briefly at a community’s discretion.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

The wording may be a joke or refer to a particular game or post, but the available official guidance does not identify a specific Santa scenario. If this is about Reddit, any karma change depends on how users vote on the content—not on a known, automatic “killing Santa” deduction.

Can you calculate the exact loss?
No. Reddit does not publish a fixed conversion rate or an exact penalty for a given number of downvotes. Automated attempts to manipulate karma are prohibited as disruptive behavior, but that is a general rule—not a special Santa-related penalty. Reddit’s spam guidance covers that prohibition.
