Here’s how to set up each option and what to check when a game is missing or your progress doesn’t carry over.
How Netflix Games works
Netflix offers two distinct ways to play. Mobile games are downloaded and installed on a phone or tablet; they do not stream from the Netflix app during mobile play. TV and computer games are accessed through Netflix as a beta experience, and availability depends on the country and device.
Netflix describes its mobile catalog as “more than 80 exclusive mobile games.” That is Netflix’s own catalog figure and can change. Its help page also describes mobile games as having “No ads. No extra fees. No in-app purchases.” (Netflix Help Center: Play games on mobile devices)
How to download a Netflix game on a phone or tablet
Android
- Open the Netflix app and find the Mobile Games row or Games shortcut.
- Choose a game and tap Get Game. Netflix opens its Google Play listing. You can also find the title directly in the Play Store.
- Install the game, then open it from your home screen or Netflix’s mobile games area.
- Choose a Netflix profile when prompted. Sign in to your Netflix account if asked.
iPhone or iPad
- Find the game in the Netflix app’s Mobile Games row, or search for it in Apple’s App Store.
- Tap Get or the cloud-download icon to install it.
- Open the game from your home screen or Netflix’s mobile games area, then choose a Netflix profile. Sign in if prompted.
Mobile play requires an active Netflix membership, an internet connection for downloading and installation, enough available storage, and a device that meets the game’s requirements. Which devices support Netflix Games?
Mobile games
Netflix lists Android phones and tablets, iPhone, and iPad as supported device categories. Its general recommendations for the best experience are Android 9 or later, iOS 17 or later, and iPadOS 17 or later. These are not guarantees that every game will work on every device running those versions: individual titles can have different operating-system and hardware requirements. Check the game’s own support information if it is unavailable or will not install. (Netflix Help Center: Device Requirements)
A title may also be hidden if the selected Netflix profile’s maturity setting is below the game’s rating. If a game does not appear, check both the device requirements and the profile’s settings.

TV and computer games
Netflix’s TV and computer offering is a beta, not a universal feature. Country, device, browser, and software support can vary. Check the current Netflix Help Center page for TV and computer games and look for a Games area on the device you want to use.
Playing Netflix games on a TV or computer
On a TV
- Open Netflix on the TV and choose a profile.
- If a Games menu is available, select a game with a Play Game option.
- Use the displayed QR code to connect a phone or tablet as the controller, following Netflix’s on-screen instructions.
Netflix says gamepads and other controllers are not supported for this TV setup. A stable internet connection is required; Netflix recommends download speeds of 10 Mbps or higher. That speed is a recommendation, not a guarantee of performance.

On a computer
- Open netflix.com in Chrome or Edge and choose a profile.
- Open Games and select a game, if the Games area is available.
- Use a keyboard and mouse or trackpad for titles that support them. Some games instead require a phone or tablet as a controller.
Netflix recommends download speeds of 10 Mbps or higher for computer play. If Games does not appear, the country, browser, device, or software version may not be supported.
Do you need a Netflix account or subscription?
Yes. Mobile games are included with an active Netflix membership, and you sign in with the Netflix account on the device. After signing in, choose a profile. Game progress is associated with that profile, so select the profile you intend to use when you start playing. The same account and profile can be used to continue on supported devices, subject to device limits and the individual game’s support.

Netflix says game progress may be saved in the cloud or locally; the save method depends on the game. With cloud saves, progress is associated with the Netflix profile and may be available after reinstalling the game or moving to another device. With local-only saves, progress stays on that device. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data can permanently remove a local save. Deleting a Netflix profile removes that profile’s game progress. There is no universally best option: use mobile when you want an installed game on a compatible handheld device; consider TV or computer play only if Netflix’s Games area is available where you are and you can use the controls that title requires.
