Some downloaded mobile games do support Bluetooth controllers, but support and accessibility options depend on the individual title.
Can you use an Xbox controller with Netflix games on a TV?
No. Netflix’s TV games use a phone or tablet as each player’s controller, connected by scanning a QR code on the TV. Netflix says physical gamepads and other controllers are not supported for this TV experience. That restriction applies to the TV flow; it does not mean every Netflix mobile game lacks gamepad support.
To play on a supported TV or streaming device:
- Open the Netflix app, choose a profile, and select Games.
- Launch a game that offers Play Game. Depending on the title, the QR code may appear after the launch screen.
- Scan the QR code with each player’s phone or tablet and follow the on-screen instructions to connect.
TV play requires the Netflix app, a stable internet connection, and the TV’s original remote. Netflix recommends download speeds of 10 Mbps or higher; this is a recommendation, not a stated minimum guarantee. To check availability, look for Games in the Netflix app and consult Netflix’s Device Requirements page if it is missing. Netflix describes TV and computer games as a beta, and availability varies by country and device; check its live TV and computer games instructions for current eligibility.
How to connect a phone or tablet as a controller
Use the device’s camera to scan the code displayed by the game, then follow the link and prompts. The phone or tablet does not need to be signed in to a particular Netflix account to connect as a controller.

- Android: Netflix says the Netflix app must be installed on the controller device. If prompted to install it, do so and scan the QR code again.
- iPhone or iPad: Netflix specifies iOS or iPadOS 17 or later and the Netflix Game Controller app.
If the code will not scan, move closer to or farther from the screen, tap the display to focus, and try the device’s native camera app. If prompted that camera access is disabled, enable camera permission in the device settings. If the controller disconnects, turning the phone or tablet screen back on may reconnect it. For repeated dropouts, Netflix suggests turning off a VPN or switching between Wi-Fi and cellular. What controls work in Netflix computer games?
Play through Netflix.com in Chrome or Edge. The control method depends on the game: some titles use a keyboard and mouse or trackpad, while others let you connect a phone or tablet by scanning an on-screen QR code. Netflix’s TV and computer instructions do not promise physical gamepad support, so do not assume an Xbox controller will work in a browser game.

Which Netflix mobile games support Bluetooth controllers?
Some downloaded mobile games document Bluetooth gamepad support. This is separate from the TV and browser experiences, and compatibility should be checked for the exact title rather than inferred from Netflix’s catalogue as a whole.
- Highwater: Netflix says to connect a wireless controller via Bluetooth. Its game support page names Xbox and PlayStation controllers as officially supported and says other controllers may work.
- TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge: Netflix’s support page also describes connecting a wireless controller via Bluetooth; players can use either the controller or the on-screen controls once connected.
These are title-specific examples, not a guarantee for other games, devices, or operating-system versions. Before relying on a gamepad, check the game’s own help page for the device and controller you plan to use: Highwater – Game Support and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge – Game Support.

Where to find accessibility settings in Netflix games
Accessibility controls vary by game. Open that title’s Settings or Options, and check its in-game help or support page for available controls, subtitles, visual aids, color correction, and related options. Menu names and features are not consistent across the catalogue.
Red Dead Redemption
Netflix says the game’s settings include aim assist, button layouts, and camera sensitivity, and that subtitles and other visual aids can be enabled in the game menus. The title does not have traditional difficulty settings; the listed options can instead let players adjust aspects of play. Details are on Netflix’s game settings and accessibility page.

The game includes color-blind accessibility options. To change them after the initial setup, open Settings, scroll to Accessibility, choose the options you want, and close the window. Netflix’s gameplay help page covers the setting.
Netflix accessibility features are a separate layer
Netflix’s service-level accessibility features include screen readers, assistive listening systems, audio descriptions, and customizable subtitles and captions. Their availability on Netflix does not establish that a particular game includes the same features. For game-specific options, use the individual title’s menu and help documentation.
