A recurring maid is described as coming daily in The Sims 4. Community guidance says the first visit is expected around 10 a.m. the day after hiring, but that time is not guaranteed.
How often does recurring maid service come?
The Sims Wiki describes a hired maid’s recurring service as daily. That is the standard cadence; the available sources do not establish a player-selectable weekly schedule or a guaranteed arrival time. How to schedule a maid
An EA Forums response describes hiring through the Sim’s phone: open the Household (house) icon, then choose the service and maid options. The reply says players can select one-time or recurring service. Menu labels may have changed since that community answer was posted, so follow the closest service option shown in your game. What does a maid cost?

When do maid visits follow a different schedule?
Some maid visits are attached to specific content rather than the recurring service a player hires for a household. The Sims Wiki describes these patterns:
- Serviced Apartment lot trait (City Living): maid visits on weekdays.
- Discover University housing: maid visits on weekends.
These are special lot or pack behaviors, not evidence that ordinary recurring service can be set to a weekday-only or weekend-only schedule. The Sims Wiki
