Pokémon GO Pass: June was a free, limited-time progression track that ran from June 3 to July 1, 2025. GO Pass Deluxe was a paid upgrade that added rewards alongside the free track. The event has ended, so it can no longer be purchased or progressed; in retrospect, Deluxe made the most sense for players who specifically wanted its exclusive Lucky Trinket or expected to use enough of its extra encounters and items to justify the then-current price.
How did the June Pokémon GO Pass work?
From Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, July 1, at 10:00 a.m. local time, players earned GO Points by completing Pass Tasks. Points increased their rank and unlocked rewards. The official June announcement describes the GO Pass as a free, limited-time progression track.

There was no daily limit on GO Points earned from Saturday, June 28, at 12:00 a.m. through Sunday, June 29, at 11:59 p.m. local time. Outside that bonus period, players progressed by completing the available Pass Tasks.
What did Basic and Deluxe include?
The free Basic track offered rewards including an Articuno encounter with a Delightful Days-themed Special Background, as well as Stardust, XP, Max Particles, Poké Balls, and Candy. Deluxe included those Basic rewards plus its own additional rewards.

The announcement highlighted three rank milestones with additional bonuses: rank 25 increased XP from increasing Friendship levels by 50%; rank 50 increased XP and Stardust from Research Breakthrough rewards; and rank 75 increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. The announcement does not provide a complete rank-by-rank reward inventory.
What did the Lucky Trinket do?
The Lucky Trinket could make one eligible friend a Lucky Friend, even if you were not Best Friends. Your next trade with that friend would make both traded Pokémon Lucky, after which the Lucky Friend status cleared.

- The selected friend had to be at least Great Friends.
- You could not use it on someone who was already a Lucky Friend.
- It did not change the normal trade-distance requirement.
- The Lucky Trinket earned through this pass expired Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time, regardless of when it was claimed.
Could you upgrade later and claim earlier Deluxe rewards?
Yes. The June announcement said players could upgrade at any point during the pass and claim Deluxe rewards for ranks they had already unlocked, in addition to their Basic rewards. The current Pokémon GO Help Center describes Basic and Deluxe tracks progressing together and likewise says an upgrade during an active pass grants previously unlocked Basic-rank rewards on the Deluxe track.

There were three separate deadlines, all in local time:

- July 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.: rewards unlocked through the pass expired.
- July 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.: the June pass’s Lucky Trinket expired.
These dates are historical; none extends the event or makes the pass available now.
Was GO Pass Deluxe worth buying?
There is no universal answer. The Basic track was free, so it offered a way to earn the pass rewards without paying for Deluxe. The paid upgrade was most compelling for players who wanted the Lucky Trinket or would make practical use of the extra encounters, incubator-related rewards, and premium items.

The official June announcement does not state Deluxe’s price, quantify how much play time completion required, or assign a monetary value to the rewards. That means a reliable retrospective verdict cannot be based on a price-to-reward calculation. The sensible test at the time was whether the Deluxe rewards matched your play style and whether the price shown in your game felt worthwhile to you. Because the June offer has ended, there is no current purchase decision to make.

The June announcement described the pass as part of a worldwide monthly rollout, while noting that some trainers could see differences in Pokémon encounter visibility and XP rewards. For the exact rewards available on an account during the event, the in-game pass was the relevant reference.
