You cannot transfer Pokémon directly from a FireRed or LeafGreen cartridge to Pokémon HOME. If your Pokémon are already in Pokémon Bank, the documented final move to HOME requires a Premium plan and cannot be reversed back to Bank. If they are still in FireRed or LeafGreen, the official sources reviewed do not establish a complete, current route into Bank, so a step-by-step transfer chain cannot be confirmed here.
Can I transfer Pokémon directly from FireRed or LeafGreen to Pokémon HOME?
No direct connection is documented. Pokémon HOME’s compatibility information describes its connected games and services, with Pokémon Bank as the relevant legacy source. Nintendo’s published Poké Transporter compatibility list names Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, White 2, and specified Virtual Console games; it does not list FireRed or LeafGreen. Do not treat Poké Transporter as a direct GBA-cartridge-to-Bank or GBA-cartridge-to-HOME tool.

What if the Pokémon are still in FireRed or LeafGreen?
The official Nintendo and Pokémon support material reviewed does not lay out the full generation-by-generation path from either GBA game through intermediate games and services into Bank. It also does not establish the exact game versions, consoles, applications, or present-day service requirements for that legacy chain. Because those details determine whether a transfer is possible, there is not enough verified information here to give reliable equipment or setup instructions.
A FireRed or LeafGreen cartridge by itself is not a HOME transfer solution. Before buying hardware or moving Pokémon between games, verify the exact route for your save and the current availability of every required legacy game and service.

What if the Pokémon are already in Pokémon Bank?
Nintendo says moving Pokémon from Bank to HOME requires Pokémon HOME Premium. The move is one-way: once a Pokémon is sent to HOME, it cannot be returned to Bank. Review the Pokémon you plan to move before confirming the transfer.
Pokémon Support announced that Bank will end on February 26, 2027 at 03:00 UTC, and that transfers from Bank to HOME will no longer be possible after that time. This is an operational deadline that may change; check Pokémon Support’s current Bank notice before acting.

Can Pokémon moved to HOME go into any newer game?
No. HOME limits transfers to games in which the Pokémon appears. Check the individual Pokémon’s game compatibility in HOME’s mobile Help or connected-games information before planning a destination; having a Pokémon in HOME does not guarantee that it can be moved into a particular game.
