That means there is no supported percentage—or reliable “one in N” figure—to give for getting it from an Alpha Pack.
Can you get Black Ice from Alpha Packs?
Ubisoft’s 2017 Alpha Pack FAQ described the packs as a chance to get past limited-time cosmetics, including the Black Ice weapon skin series. Its 2017 update announcement likewise said Alpha Packs would contain past cosmetics such as Black Ice through a chance-based loot system. Those are historical descriptions of the system’s introduction, not a guarantee that every Black Ice item is in the current pool.
Ubisoft also said Alpha Pack contents would change over time, with items added and removed. The current contents and item weights needed to establish the chance of a specific Black Ice skin are not given in the cited official material.
What are the odds of getting Black Ice from an Alpha Pack?
No current Black Ice-specific Alpha Pack percentage is published in the official sources cited here. Ubisoft’s current support page describes general Alpha Pack contents and ways to obtain packs, but does not list item-by-item probabilities. Without a current pool and its item weights, an exact probability cannot be calculated from the available information.
#1 Best Overall
- Bundle includes three expansions with six unique maps to expand your battlefield.
- Concrete City introduces Kafé and Bank, each with contrasting playstyles and tactical depth.
- Dead End features Oregon and Chalet, designed for vertical maneuvers and long-range encounters.
- Sand and Dust delivers Coastline and Border, mixing open firefights with intense close-quarters action.
- Comes with mission booklets for each map, ensuring replayability and strategic variety.
Historical pool-size figures do not solve this: Ubisoft said there were more than 1,000 available items when Alpha Packs launched in 2017, but that is neither the current pool size nor a statement that every item had an equal chance.
Why the 2026 Black Ice Pack rates are different
Ubisoft’s Y11S1 announcement, published February 3, 2026, gives probabilities for a separate, dedicated Black Ice Pack collection. Those figures apply to that pack, not to Alpha Packs.

- Expansion for 6: Siege the Board Game that adds 6 Year 5 Operators for expanded squad drafting and tactical miniatures gameplay
- Play as attackers Iana, Ace, and Zero, using holographic doubles, demolition tools, and Argus cameras to disrupt enemy defenses
- Add defenders Oryx, Melusi, and Aruni, featuring wall-crashing charges, Banshee Sonic Defenses, and Surya Laser countermeasures
- Create new team synergies and strategic approaches with Operators suited to different objectives, environments, and play styles
- Requires the 6: Siege the Board Game base game; ideal for players seeking more Operator choices and replayable asymmetric matches
| Pack type | What Ubisoft says about the odds | Time period and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Alpha Packs | No current Black Ice-specific item probability stated | General cosmetic packs; the current item pool and weights are not provided in the cited official sources |
| Y11S1 Black Ice Packs | Per weapon: 0.71% for Pink Black Ice; 2.14% each for Red, Purple, and Green Black Ice | Dedicated packs for the 2026 Y11S1 collection, covering 14 weapons in four color variants (56 skins total) |
For the dedicated Y11S1 packs, Ubisoft lists the color distribution as 10% Pink and 30% each for Red, Purple, and Green. It also says two of these packs would be exclusive premium Battle Pass rewards. None of those rates or availability details establishes Alpha Pack odds.
Does Black Ice’s rarity tier tell you its drop chance?
No. Ubisoft’s 2026 rarity framework classifies Black Ice as Epic and Colored Black Ice as Legendary. These are cosmetic rarity labels, not Alpha Pack probabilities. A rarity tier cannot be converted into a drop rate unless Ubisoft also supplies the relevant pack’s odds and item weights.

How to get Alpha Packs
Ubisoft’s current support page lists the Battle Pass, seasonal rewards, completing and winning matches, and the in-game Shop as ways to obtain Alpha Packs. The page describes pack contents as gear or weapon customisations spanning Common through Legendary. Since the available contents can change, those general categories do not identify whether a particular Black Ice skin is currently obtainable from a pack.
