A classic Roblox avatar is about 4.6 feet tall using Roblox’s general stud conversion. More humanoid-style proportions work out to roughly 5.5 to 6 feet. These are approximate conversions of Roblox’s reference heights, not fixed real-world heights for every character or game.

Roblox Creator Hub gives these as reference heights in its Avatar Settings documentation. The feet figures are arithmetic conversions: Roblox’s units documentation gives a general conversion of 1 stud to 28 centimeters, or about 0.9186 feet. Roblox publishes the stud references; the converted feet values are estimates.
Why Roblox characters do not all have one height
Roblox supports Classic, Normal, and Slender body scales, and an experience can let players use their chosen avatars or apply custom scale settings. Avatar Settings also lets creators specify an absolute character height in studs. The character body specifications include model dimensions and maximum total heights of 9.5 studs for Normal and Slender and 9.1 studs for Classic. Those are specification limits, not typical player-avatar heights.
Creators can also adjust character proportions through HumanoidDescription scale properties, including height. Roblox notes that these scale properties do not affect R6 body types.

What “feet” means in a Roblox game
The conversion is useful as a real-world scale analogy, but it is not a universal physical size assigned to every Roblox character. Roblox says developers may define their own consistent interpretation of studs for an experience. A character that measures a certain number of studs therefore converts to the figures above only when using Roblox’s general 28-centimeter convention.
