Link appears in multiple game stories and incarnations, and the sources examined do not publish a shared measurement. Any height calculated from a particular game’s model or screenshot should be labelled an estimate for that version—not canon.
Is there an official canonical height for Link?
No franchise-wide height is established by the official Nintendo sources reviewed for this answer. Nintendo’s Zelda character portal presents multiple Links in different story contexts, but does not give them a common height. The reviewed official materials provide no named height statistic to report.
This is a conclusion about what those sources establish, not proof that no individual game publication has ever assigned a measurement to a particular Link. Whether every incarnation has a separately published height remains unresolved.
Why does the answer depend on which Link you mean?
“Link” is a recurring character represented in different game stories, rather than a single unchanging model with a height specified across the series. Nintendo’s Tears of the Kingdom developer interview identifies Hidemaro Fujibayashi as that game’s director and describes the title as a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild. It does not state Link’s height. The official Breath of the Wild Explorer’s Guide is a reference for that game’s setting, but the reviewed material likewise does not establish a height.

So a claim about one game’s Link should name that incarnation and its source. It should not be generalized to every Link in the franchise.
Can Link’s height be estimated from a game model?
A fan can estimate a particular version’s height by comparing an in-game model or screenshot with an object whose dimensions are assumed or independently known. That calculation depends on the chosen reference, the game scene, perspective, and other assumptions. It is an inference, not an official published measurement.

For an estimate to be meaningfully assessed, it should identify the game and incarnation, the in-game reference used, the assumed scale, and the uncertainty. Without those details—and a directly attributable Nintendo source—an exact number should not be presented as Link’s canonical height.

No. Nintendo compliance documentation names a “The Legend of Zelda: BOTW, LINK (RIDER)” amiibo, confirming that the collectible exists; it says nothing about a canonical character measurement. The document is not evidence of current retail availability. See Nintendo’s product documentation.
