You do not need to launch an ESO Plus-unlocked Story from the Crown Store. Your available content is tied to your account, so use Stories to see what is currently accessible.
Start DLC from Collection > Stories
- Log in to The Elder Scrolls Online.
- Open the Collection menu and select Stories.
- Review the listed Chapters, Dungeon DLCs, and Zone DLCs.
- Select the Story you want to play and choose its starting quest.
ESO Support’s access instructions direct players to the Stories tab for ESO Plus-unlocked DLC.
What ESO Plus access means
ESO Plus provides access to eligible DLC Game Packs available in the Crown Store while your membership is active. That access is temporary; it is not permanent ownership of every pack you can play through the membership.
You can also buy a DLC pack individually for permanent access to that specific pack. A Crown Store purchase prompt does not necessarily mean your membership has failed: ESO says packs may remain available for purchase so members can choose to own them permanently. ESO’s membership page describes DLC Game Pack access as a membership benefit while the subscription is current. Membership is optional; PC/Mac membership is managed through the ESO account site, while console membership is managed through the PlayStation Store or Xbox Games Store. The game’s Stories navigation instructions do not specify a separate console route.
Why a new release may not appear
ESO Plus should not be treated as a promise that every Chapter, Content Pass, zone, or premium release is included. In its 2025 Content Pass FAQ, ESO said the Content Pass itself was not included with ESO Plus. The FAQ identified the Fallen Banners and Feast of Shadows dungeon packs as available through ESO Plus or a Crown Store purchase.
The same FAQ said the Solstice zone would be added to ESO Plus access sometime in 2026, without giving a date. Its current status is not established here; check Collection > Stories or a current official announcement for your account’s availability.

If expected content is missing
- Confirm the ESO Plus membership is active, or verify that you individually own the pack.
- Reopen Collection > Stories and check the Chapter, Dungeon DLC, and Zone DLC categories. ESO Support’s ownership guide identifies these content categories.
- If the Story is still absent, the available official guidance does not provide an account-specific entitlement diagnosis beyond checking the Stories list and your ownership or membership.
Some areas require the corresponding DLC pack or active ESO Plus membership. Regular game updates and DLC packs are separate: updates improve the core game, while certain areas and dungeons are released as DLC. ESO Support explains that distinction in its article on DLC requirements.
