To access a Timewalking raid in World of Warcraft, join the matching expansion’s Timewalking event, meet that raid’s level and group-size requirements, then follow its location or NPC instructions. These raids are Normal difficulty and cannot be entered through Raid Finder; use Group Finder’s Premade Groups or arrange a group with friends or guildmates instead. Check the in-game calendar for the active event rotation.
How to get into a Timewalking raid
- Check the event calendar. Timewalking raids are available during their corresponding expansion event. Confirm the current rotation in the in-game calendar; availability changes.
- Check the raid’s requirements. Minimum level and permitted group size vary by raid, so use the relevant event instructions below rather than assuming one set of rules applies to all of them.
- Form the raid group. Invite friends or guildmates, or look in Group Finder > Premade Groups for players. These raids are not accessed by queuing in Raid Finder.
- Travel to the stated destination and speak with the named NPC, if one is specified. The event instructions identify the access method for Ulduar; do not assume another raid uses the same location or NPC.
Requirements for the featured Timewalking raids
| Raid and event | Minimum level | Group size | Access location or NPC | Queue access |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ulduar — Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking | 60 | 10–30 players | Dalaran in Northrend; speak with Vormu. | Normal difficulty; not available through Raid Finder. |
| Firelands — Cataclysm Timewalking | 35 | 1–30 players | The event instructions cited here do not specify a route or NPC. | Normal difficulty; not available through Raid Finder. |
| The Black Temple — Burning Crusade Timewalking | Not stated in the event instructions cited here | 10–30 players | The event instructions cited here do not specify a route or NPC. | Normal difficulty; not available through Raid Finder. |
Blizzard says Ulduar scales to group size, with player level and gear scaled to match the encounter. Its instructions also specify the 10–30-player group, level 60 minimum, Dalaran destination, and Vormu interaction. Blizzard’s Wrath Timewalking event instructions

Why Raid Finder does not work
Do not look for these raids in the Raid Finder queue. Blizzard’s event pages explicitly identify Ulduar, Firelands, and the Black Temple as Normal-difficulty raids unavailable through Raid Finder. Use a pre-made raid group instead. The older Raid Finder Q&A is historical context, not the basis for these current raid-specific restrictions.

How to confirm which Timewalking raid is available
Check the in-game calendar for the live weekly event. Blizzard’s Turbulent Timeways announcement describes a five-week run beginning the week of September 26 and lists Cataclysm Timewalking for that opening week, with Firelands available throughout the Cataclysm event. The notice does not give each week’s date range, so it cannot establish the live event for a particular date by itself. Blizzard’s Turbulent Timeways announcement
