For a PC game or DLC key, open Ubisoft Connect PC, sign in to the correct Ubisoft account, open the main menu, choose Activate a key, and enter the code. Store discounts, console codes, wallet codes, and in-game rewards use different redemption routes.
Quick answer: activate a PC game or DLC key
- Download and install Ubisoft Connect PC.
- Sign in to the Ubisoft account that should own the content.
- Open the application menu, usually the three-line button in the upper-left.
- Select Activate a key, or the similarly named key-activation option.
- Enter the code exactly as provided and confirm.
- Open Games or Library, select the title, and install it.
Ubisoft may change the menu wording or location between client versions. A successful activation should associate the entitlement with the signed-in Ubisoft account. You may need to restart Ubisoft Connect, link another platform account, own the base game, or open the reward inside the game before the content becomes available.

Identify your Ubisoft code first

Check the email, card, retailer listing, or purchase confirmation for the supported platform, country, edition, and expiration terms before redeeming. A code intended for Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo is not automatically a Ubisoft Connect PC key.

- A Ubisoft account and access to its associated email address.
- An internet connection and, for PC keys, Ubisoft Connect PC.
- The correct regional account or store.
- A code intended for your platform and edition.
- The base game on the same Ubisoft account when required for DLC or an expansion.
Ubisoft’s Terms of Use state that an account, internet connection, and Ubisoft Connect software may be required for some content.

How to redeem a Ubisoft Store promo or creator code
A Store discount or creator code does not add a previously purchased game to your library. It applies during a new purchase.
- Open the Ubisoft Store.
- Add an eligible product to your cart.
- Open the cart or checkout summary.
- Select Add a promo code or creator code.
- Enter the code and select Apply.
- Confirm that the price changes before paying.
Ubisoft says that only one Ubisoft discount code can be used per purchase. Its creator-code information also says only one creator code can be entered for each purchase. Eligibility can vary: some promotions exclude subscriptions, preorders, virtual currency, already-discounted products, or particular editions.
How to redeem a console code
A Ubisoft-published code is not necessarily interchangeable between platforms. Redeem it in the store named on the code:

The game may still require a Ubisoft account or account linking, depending on the title. A PC Ubisoft Connect key should not be expected to become a PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo license.
What happens after activation?
The entitlement is tied to the Ubisoft account used during redemption. Sign in to a different Ubisoft account and the game may appear to be missing. Look in Library or Games, rather than only searching the Store.
DLC may not appear as a separate game. It can be listed in the base game’s properties or downloadable-content section, or become available through an in-game menu, mailbox, inventory, or rewards screen. Ubisoft Connect or the game may need to be restarted.

Ubisoft Connect supports Ubisoft’s PC ecosystem and links with games on major consoles, but cross-play and cross-progression vary by game and platform; they do not change the platform entitlement created by a code.
If Ubisoft says the code is invalid

| Already redeemed, expired, or promotion-restricted | Check the terms and your account library or order history. |
| Temporary service problem | Restart Ubisoft Connect and try again later. |
Paste the code into a plain-text field first if hidden spaces may be involved. Confirm that the intended Ubisoft account is signed in, then restart the client. Keep the receipt, order number, code, and screenshots. Do not post an unused code publicly or send it to an unverified social-media account.
If the code says it was already redeemed
First check the Ubisoft account’s library and order history. The code may already be attached to that account, or it may have been redeemed while another Ubisoft account was signed in.

If the entitlement is not present, contact the retailer with proof of purchase. This is especially important for a marketplace, used physical copy, promotional giveaway, or unofficial seller. A low price does not prove that a key is legitimate, unused, region-compatible, or activated. If the retailer confirms activation, contact Ubisoft Support with the same evidence. Never assume that an activated code can simply be moved to another account.
If the game or DLC is missing
- Sign out of Ubisoft Connect and sign back in.
- Restart Ubisoft Connect and search the library, not just the Store.
- Verify the email address, username, and account that redeemed the code.
- Check whether the code unlocked DLC, an edition upgrade, or an in-game item rather than a standalone game.
- Confirm that the base game is owned on the same account.
- Remove library filters and check the game’s properties or downloadable-content list.
- Verify that the code was for Ubisoft Connect PC rather than Steam, Epic Games Store, or a console.
- Check that the relevant platform account is linked to the intended Ubisoft account.
- Restart the game and look in its mailbox, inventory, or rewards menu.
DLC can also fail to appear when it is incompatible with the game edition or region. A valid reward may be delivered inside the game instead of appearing in the Ubisoft Connect library.
Wallet codes, Ubisoft+ rewards, and subscriptions
Wallet or gift-card codes follow the applicable Ubisoft Wallet or account-management flow and may be limited by currency, country, product, expiration, or other terms. See Ubisoft’s Wallet Terms for the relevant restrictions.

Ubisoft+ rewards are separate from game activation keys. Ubisoft’s current instructions direct subscribers to open the game’s Ubisoft Connect overlay, select Rewards, and choose Get it. The catalog, platforms, and included content can change; Ubisoft currently lists Premium access on PC through Ubisoft Connect and on Xbox consoles. A subscription does not redeem an existing product key.
Can you transfer or refund an activated code?
Check the platform, edition, region, and Ubisoft account before redeeming. Redemption generally creates an account-bound entitlement, and moving it later may not be possible. Ask Ubisoft Support about the specific product rather than assuming a universal transfer rule.
Refund rules depend on the product, seller, region, and whether digital content has been made available. For example, Ubisoft’s current U.S. Store policy says eligible Ubisoft Connect PC games may qualify within 14 days of purchase when playtime is under two hours. It also says automatically available DLC and Season Pass content is not refundable once purchased. That U.S. policy is not automatically a remedy for a separately purchased third-party activation key; check the policy applying to your country and seller.
Who should you contact?
- Ubisoft Store purchase: use Ubisoft’s support or store-order support, including your order number.
- Retailer or gift card: contact the seller first if the code was not activated at purchase.
- Console code: contact the relevant platform store for redemption or platform-entitlement issues.
- Missing Ubisoft entitlement: contact Ubisoft Support after checking the correct account and library.
Provide the product name, platform, country or region, purchase receipt, order number, exact error message, and screenshots. Do not disclose the full unused code in a public post.
