For the separate Ubisoft+ Classics catalog benefit, Ubisoft currently lists access with Game Pass Ultimate on PC and console. These are different benefits, so first check which one your plan and region include.
Which Ubisoft benefit are you trying to activate?
- Individual Ubisoft games in the PC Game Pass catalog: Ubisoft says you must claim each available game first. Access is through the Xbox app for Windows and Ubisoft Connect PC, and lasts while the qualifying PC Game Pass subscription is active. Ubisoft’s PC Game Pass help page explains this access.
- Ubisoft+ Classics catalog: Ubisoft’s current store information says this catalog is included with Game Pass Ultimate on PC and console. Check the Xbox account’s benefits and the Ubisoft catalog for availability in your region; this is not the same as claiming individual PC Game Pass games. See Ubisoft’s Ubisoft+ information.
Plan benefits and catalogs can vary by subscription plan, platform, seller, country, and age, according to Ubisoft’s subscription terms. Confirm the benefit displayed for your account rather than assuming every Game Pass tier includes the same Ubisoft access.
Claim a Ubisoft game with PC Game Pass on Windows
- Open the Xbox app for Windows and sign in with the Microsoft/Xbox account that has the active PC Game Pass subscription.
- Find the Ubisoft game in the PC Game Pass catalog and select the claim or access option shown. Ubisoft states that PC Game Pass Ubisoft games must be claimed before they can be accessed.
- When prompted, sign in to Ubisoft Connect PC or your Ubisoft account. Choose the Ubisoft account you want associated with the game and confirm the Xbox account being linked.
- Follow the app prompts to install or launch the game. If Ubisoft Connect PC is not installed, install it when prompted. The game should appear in the Ubisoft library for the account used to claim it.
Button names and prompts can change with app versions and regions, so follow the claim and account-linking prompts shown in your apps rather than relying on a fixed screen sequence. Ubisoft says redeemed games are associated with the Ubisoft account used for redemption.
Use Ubisoft+ Classics with Game Pass Ultimate
If you mean the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog rather than individual PC Game Pass games, Ubisoft currently describes the benefit as available with Game Pass Ultimate on PC and console. Sign in to the relevant Xbox account and check its available benefits and catalog. The exact selection can depend on platform and region; Ubisoft’s terms also note variation by plan, seller, country, and age.

Fix account-linking and library problems
“This profile is already linked to another user”
This message means the Xbox account is already linked to a different Ubisoft account. Sign in with the Ubisoft account that should have access. Ubisoft says that when a Ubisoft account was previously linked to an Xbox account, only that same Xbox account can be linked; if you need to connect a different Xbox account, contact Ubisoft Support. More detail is in Ubisoft’s help article about “This profile is already linked to another user”.
“Something went wrong with the activation”
Ubisoft says this can happen when the Xbox account linked to a Ubisoft account has claimed the Ubisoft game the maximum number of times. Its guidance is to unlink the Ubisoft account from the Xbox account and link the intended Ubisoft account. If a different Xbox account was linked previously, contact Ubisoft Support. See Ubisoft’s article on “Something went wrong with the activation”.
