To keep visuals moving behind an Indian music live stream, add a looping video to your streaming scene: in OBS Studio, use a Media Source for one local clip and turn on Loop, or use a VLC Video source for a playlist and turn on Loop Playlist. Keep the music on its intended audio path, place the visuals behind the performer, and check that you have streaming rights to both the music and the imagery.
Choose the kind of background you want
Decide whether the stream needs one repeating motion visual, several video clips in sequence, or a rotation of still images. The right option depends on the look you want and how much setup you are comfortable with; avoid assuming one approach will perform better on every computer or connection.

Loop one background video in OBS
- Open OBS Studio and select the scene you will use for the music stream.
- In the Sources box, select +, then choose Media Source.
- Name the source if helpful, then select OK.
- In the Media Source properties, choose the local video file you want to play and enable Loop.
- Arrange the source behind the camera or other foreground elements in the scene. Resize or crop it so the composition works without obscuring the performer, lyrics, or other text.
OBS’s Media Sources documentation describes Media Source as the option for a local media file; its VLC source, by contrast, supports playlists. Read the OBS Project documentation for the current source details.
Loop several clips as a playlist in OBS
- Install VLC before setting up the source. Match its architecture to OBS: 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC.
- In the OBS scene, select + under Sources, then choose VLC Video.
- Open the source properties and add the local video files to its playlist.
- Enable Loop Playlist. Leave shuffle off if the visual sequence has a deliberate order.
- Place the playlist source behind the performer and check its framing in the preview.
The OBS Project says of VLC Video: “Unlike Media Source, you can create a playlist of items, similar to an Image Slideshow.” OBS Project: Media Sources

Use still images or a StreamYard background
Still-image rotation in OBS
OBS includes an Image Slideshow source for rotating still visuals. Use it when motion is not necessary. Since detailed timing and transition controls can change, consult the current OBS help rather than relying on a particular setting name or behavior.
Video background in StreamYard
StreamYard’s help describes adding an uploaded MP4 or GIF as a studio background through its Brand/Media assets background controls. The video loops automatically without audio, so your music needs to enter the stream through a separate audio path. Check the scene before going live
Make a short recording or inspect the platform preview ahead of the event. These are practical checks, not a guarantee of stream stability:
- Watch a loop restart to see whether the transition is acceptable.
- Check the crop and framing, including whether the performer and any lyrics or text remain visible.
- Confirm that the music comes from the intended audio source; a visual background may not carry the music you intend to stream.
- Check the preview for unexpected audio, missing visuals, or a source that is not playing.
- Confirm that your chosen clips and still images are cleared for streaming.
Clear rights for both the music and visuals
Confirm that you have the necessary rights to stream the specific recording or performance and every visual asset, including photographs, animation, and stock imagery. Giving credit is not the same as having permission. Whether a particular Indian song, devotional performance, cover, recording, or image is cleared depends on the applicable rights and circumstances; this article does not determine that for an individual channel.

YouTube says: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If YouTube identifies third-party content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder image, interrupt it, or terminate it. YouTube also cautions that even licensed content may be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID.
