In OBS Studio, add a Text source for a fixed Hindi product name and price, or use a Browser Source with a local HTML page for designed product cards and timed rotation. Check the Devanagari text in OBS’s actual preview on the computer you’ll stream from; the OBS documentation describes font selection but does not guarantee Hindi-script rendering. Then review YouTube’s Live Control Room preview and test audio and moving video before going live.
Choose the right OBS source
OBS offers two useful ways to place product information over your demo video. The choice depends on whether the label stays fixed or needs a designed layout or rotation.

For either option, add the source in the OBS Sources dock and place it in the scene above the video source so the product information is visible. OBS’s Sources Guide explains how sources are used in scenes.
Add a fixed Hindi name and price with a Text source
- In the OBS scene you use for the demo, go to the Sources dock and add a Text source.
- Enter the product name and price, or choose the option to read the text from a file if you prefer to update the copy outside OBS. Keep the name, price, and currency accurate and concise.
- Choose a font and style in the Text source properties. Inspect the result in the OBS canvas at the size it will appear in the broadcast.
- Check the Devanagari characters closely, including vowel marks, conjuncts, punctuation, and line breaks. If characters are missing or malformed, try a Devanagari-capable font installed on that computer, then inspect the actual OBS preview again. OBS’s documentation does not specify a required Hindi font or guarantee script-specific rendering.
- Position the text over an uncluttered area of the video. Confirm that it has enough contrast to remain legible while the demo footage moves.
Build product cards or a rotating sequence with Browser Source
- Create a local HTML page for the product card or cards. Add the exact Hindi name, price, and currency, and make sure any offer shown is current and accurate.
- In OBS, add a Browser Source from the Sources dock and select the option to load a local file.
- Set the Browser Source width and height to match the portion of the scene where the card should render. Design the page within those dimensions, then check it in the OBS canvas at your stream’s output size.
- If the page contains multiple cards, implement the rotation in the page itself. OBS’s Browser Source documentation supports loading a browser page, but does not describe a native timed product-card playlist. Test the order, display duration, and whether the page behaves as expected in the OBS preview.
- Check the Hindi text and the complete card in the actual OBS preview. Adjust the HTML, font availability, line breaks, contrast, and placement until the information is readable over the demo video.
Verify the product details and test YouTube Live
- Check the Hindi product name, price, and currency against the values you intend to offer. If a price changes, update the Text source or HTML before the broadcast.
- Make sure the price stays on screen long enough to read. For a rotating sequence, check every card rather than just the first one.
- Use the YouTube Live Control Room preview before starting the stream. YouTube recommends checking the preview and testing audio and motion similar to what viewers will see. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Use encoder settings suitable for your channel and available upload connection. YouTube’s settings guidance recommends RTMPS, lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, allows up to 60 fps, recommends a two-second keyframe frequency, and says not to exceed four seconds. See YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
- During the event, monitor stream health and messages. YouTube’s streaming tips cover preparation and monitoring.
Troubleshoot common display problems
Hindi characters are missing or malformed
The selected font may not provide the required glyphs, or the text may not be rendering as expected on that computer. Try a Devanagari-capable font installed on the system, then inspect the text in the OBS canvas and YouTube preview. The reviewed OBS pages do not identify a guaranteed Hindi font.

The card is clipped or too small
For a Browser Source, check its width and height and revise the local page to fit that viewport. For either source type, inspect the result at the actual output size rather than relying on a larger editing view.
The price is difficult to read over the video
Move the label or card to a less busy area, improve contrast, and check the result while the demo footage is moving. Confirm that a rotating card remains visible long enough for a viewer to read.

The rotating cards do not advance as expected
Rotation is controlled by the HTML page, not a product-card playlist feature established in the cited OBS documentation. Check the page’s timing and sequence, then test its behavior in the OBS preview before going live.
