What changes in the Everdark Sovereign encounter?
Bandai Namco describes Everdark Sovereigns as enhanced, more challenging versions of selected Nightlords, including Darkdrift Knight. Defeating one awards Sovereign Sigils, which can be exchanged for special Relics and other items. Bandai Namco’s announcement explains the reward system.

What is Fulghor weak to?
Lightning is a useful damage type to bring when a run offers a suitable lightning-capable armament or consumable. Game8’s Fulghor weakness and strategy guide also describes a special interaction: during an earlier-stage channeling attack, lightning can call down a strike that interrupts and briefly staggers him.

That interruption is phase-limited. In phase three of the Everdark fight, lightning no longer triggers the stagger. This does not establish that lightning damage itself becomes ineffective; it means you should not count on the earlier interrupt in the final phase.
How should you prepare?
- Take a suitable lightning option if the run offers one. It can contribute damage and create an interruption opportunity during the earlier channeling interaction.
- Do not build the whole fight plan around the stagger. It is unavailable in phase three, so an option that remains useful without it is a more dependable choice across the encounter.
- Account for holy attacks in your defensive choices. Comparing defensive coverage for the boss’s holy attacks with the value of earlier lightning interruptions is a practical planning consideration, not a verified best-in-slot recommendation.
The available guidance does not establish a universally best character, exact damage threshold, optimal Relic setup, or complete response for every Sovereign attack. Avoid treating any single build or interruption as a guaranteed solution.
