What is different about Everdark Sovereign Augur?
Bandai Namco Europe announced that the Everdark Sovereign version of Augur would awaken on July 31, 2025. That is the announced date, not confirmation that the encounter is active now or when it will next rotate. The announcement identifies Maris as the Everdark Sovereign version of Augur. Unlike a straightforward single-phase fight, the Everdark encounter described by Eldenpedia begins with Augur and then transitions into the true Maris encounter. How to beat Maris, Fathom of Night
Phase one: defeat Augur and secure Storm Ruler
Concentrate on clearing the opening Augur phase so you can reach the weapon drop. Once obtained, the Storm Ruler skill is central to the intended strategy for the Maris phase; do not treat the initial fight as the whole encounter. Phase two: use Storm Ruler against Maris
When the encounter shifts to Maris, use Storm Ruler as your primary damage approach according to Eldenpedia’s account of the encounter. The source does not provide damage totals, timing windows, or a specific build, so this advice should not be mistaken for a quantified guarantee.
Use Lightning as a complementary weakness
Game8 identifies Lightning as effective against Maris and recommends Lightning attacks. Its listed options include Lightning-based weapons, Lightning Grease, and Lightning Pot. How the standard Augur raid differs
Advice for the standard Augur raid should not be substituted wholesale for the Everdark Sovereign strategy.
