Pyromaniac is listed as Very Weak to Chill and Very Strong against Fire on both Normal and Hard reference pages. Build around Chill damage, prepare for Fire damage, and target the Colossus’s weak points. The listed Fire-resistance recommendations are 2,100 for Normal and 7,600 for Hard, but they are secondary database values—not guaranteed survival thresholds.
What is Pyromaniac weak to?
Tfdtools lists Pyromaniac as Very Weak to Chill and Very Strong against Fire on both its Normal and Hard pages. If your build supports it, bring a Chill damage option; avoid relying on Fire damage to counter this boss. Nexon’s general Void Intercept Battle guide also advises identifying a boss’s weak points and choosing attributes, weapons, and modules to improve your chances of clearing the fight.
How should you prepare for Pyromaniac?
Build for damage and survivability
- Use Chill where practical. The reference pages identify it as Pyromaniac’s strongest listed elemental weakness.
- Prepare for Fire damage. Use Fire resistance as a build consideration, not as a promise that a particular number will make you safe.
- Target weak points. Nexon recommends identifying boss weak points, but the cited sources do not establish a Pyromaniac-specific weak-point map or part-break sequence.
- Choose equipment that fits your account. The available guidance supports adapting attributes, weapons, and modules to the boss; it does not establish one best Descendant or weapon for every player.
Reference values by database mode
The following figures are reported by Tfdtools, rather than an official Nexon stat table. They may change after balance updates. The database’s Hard label should not be read as confirmation that a current Hard Pyromaniac encounter is available under that name.
| Mode on Tfdtools | Listed level | Listed recommended Fire resistance | Chill | Fire |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 53 | 2,100 | Very Weak | Very Strong |
| Hard | 111 | 7,600 | Very Weak | Very Strong |
Sources: Tfdtools Pyromaniac Normal reference and Tfdtools Pyromaniac Hard reference. Treat the resistance recommendations as reference points, not exact breakpoints or guarantees.

Which Pyromaniac difficulty is current?
Mode names and access requirements have changed. Nexon’s July 15, 2026 Update 1.3.34 notes say the former Void Intercept Battle: Hard difficulty became Void Intercept Battle: Extreme. The notes place entry behind progression through Fortress main quests and the “Colossus of Another Level” sub-quest. Check the live game menu for the mode currently available to your account.
Nexon’s Hard-difficulty support article describes unlocking the broader map Hard difficulty after completing the Normal main quest in every zone, then selecting Hard on the map for activities including Void Intercept Battles. Because the later update renamed the former Hard Void Intercept mode, those general instructions should not be taken as proof that the encounter still uses the Hard label or the same entry requirements.

The cited material does not provide a verified attack-by-attack walkthrough, phase sequence, precise attack timings, or Pyromaniac-specific immunity and part-break instructions. It supports an elemental preparation strategy and general weak-point advice, but not a guaranteed build or resistance threshold.
