To beat the Last Judge, treat the fight as a pattern-reading test: avoid the censer on both its outward and return paths, use Phase 2 smoke to locate safe ground, and attack only during brief openings. The encounter is at the Grand Gate in Blasted Steps; the guide-sourced route and summoning steps are below.
How to activate the Last Judge fight
The Silksong Wiki guide places the Last Judge at the Grand Gate in Blasted Steps. Its route says to complete the Grand Gate quest, speak with the pilgrims, activate the bell-marked benches, return to the gate and play the Needolin. The Bell Beast bench is the closest rest point the guide identifies for the return climb. Defeating the Last Judge opens access to the Citadel, according to that guide. Silksong Wiki: Last Judge
What changes in Phase 2
GamesRadar describes two phases: the Judge uses standard censer patterns in Phase 1, then gains fire effects and more dangerous combinations in Phase 2. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists the fire phase at 540 HP and names its attacks Blazing Rings, Exploding Thurible Throw, Searing Slam, Pillar Charge and a once-per-fight Judgement pattern. How to answer each dangerous attack
Thurible throw
GamesRadar advises dashing toward the Judge as the censer comes out so it passes overhead, then jumping to avoid its pullback. In Phase 2, do not rush back in after it lands: the censer can explode, so preserve extra space until the blast is over. GamesRadar

Spin and Blazing Rings
Back away when the Judge spins. For the Phase 2 rings, the smoke and incense clouds mark where fire hazards will appear; look for gaps, move into them deliberately and adjust as the pattern progresses rather than crossing a marked danger area in a panic. GamesRadar · Hollow Knight Wiki
Pillar Charge
Jump over the charging Judge and watch for the smoke markers that indicate where the fire pillars will form. The wiki recommends positioning between the resulting pillars. Slam and ground fire
When the Judge rises for a slam, GamesRadar recommends dashing underneath, then using the opening to slash. In Phase 2, remain airborne until the ground-fire ripple passes; landing early can put Hornet into the hazard. GamesRadar
Judgement and the end of the fight

Version-sensitive detail
The Hollow Knight Wiki update history says version 1.0.29909 (Patch 5) fixed the Last Judge’s death explosion doing three damage and its interaction with Magma Bell. That entry does not establish whether later patches changed those details, so do not rely on the number or interaction as current without checking the version you are playing.
