Spoilers: This guide names campaign encounters, late-game fights, and an ending-dependent final boss. If you’re looking for how to beat every boss in Resident Evil Requiem, use the encounter guide below for character-specific tactics, attack cues, and weak points.
There is no single official boss count: lists differ depending on whether they include optional or recurring encounters and count separate phases independently. This guide focuses on major campaign boss encounters; ordinary special infected are not included as bosses.
How to approach boss fights in Resident Evil Requiem
Grace’s encounters tend to revolve around light, stealth, route choices, and careful resource use. Leon’s fights more often reward movement, parries, and aimed shots at exposed weak points. These are broad tendencies, not rules for every encounter. Exact tactics below are reported by GameSpot’s boss guide and, for Victor Gideon, Automaton West’s guide; they are not presented as independently tested strategies.
The Girl (Grace)
Use light and keep a route open
The Girl recurs, including around the Care Center and Water Treatment Facility. When she appears, move toward a well-lit room: light burns her skin and makes her retreat. Treat the encounter as a routing and survival problem rather than a conventional damage race.

- Grace Ashcroft, an FBI intelligence analyst who is introverted and easily scared, representing a new type of character for the Resident Evil series. Grace will experience horror from the same perspective as the player as she learns to overcome her fears throughout the course of the story.
- For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
Water Treatment Facility
- Restart all three power distribution units.
- As she pursues Grace, use industrial work lights or Requiem shots to stun her and create room to move.
- Activate the work light from the elevator, then open the shutter.
Shooting her after the shutter opens is optional according to GameSpot’s walkthrough.
Chunk (Grace, then Leon)
First encounter: Grace
You can avoid Chunk or kill him for the Grace and Goliath challenge reward. If you choose to fight, clear nearby infected first, lure him toward a corridor he cannot pass through, and use Requiem shots at his head. GameSpot describes the kill as requiring careful setup and valuable ammunition, so avoiding him is a viable alternative.
Attic encounter: Leon
Use ladders and interactive obstacles to evade Chunk, then attack with the MSBG 500 Shotgun when an opening appears. These are separate encounters, so the Grace corridor tactic is not the approach for Leon’s Attic fight.
Blister Borne (Leon)
Target the tumors, not the surrounding infected
Blister Borne appears in the Care Center Chapel and the East Raccoon City Sewage Facility. Its tumors are the targets: hit them directly with shotgun blasts, or stagger the creature and use a melee strike to rupture a tumor.

Titan Spinner (Leon)
Keep moving and clear spiderlings
The giant spider appears in the NF Building in East Raccoon City and will chase Leon. Keep moving; if it gets too close, shoot fuel tanks. It can disappear and reappear elsewhere in the building, so be ready to reposition rather than assuming it has left the encounter.
Use hatchet swipes to clear spiderlings before they jump on Leon and temporarily immobilize him.
Mr. X / Super Tyrant (Leon)
RPD escape sequence
The RPD sequence is an evasion section, not the later open-area boss battle. Move toward the second-floor balcony while avoiding Mr. X, and retreat when he uses the helicopter tail.
Open-area boss fight
- Parry his rush with the hatchet.
- When he approaches a car, move immediately; he may throw it.
- Shoot the exposed heart on his chest to damage him.
Plant 43 (Leon)
Shoot the central bulb, then the exposed fuel tanks
At Blackthorn Station, wait for the central head to open its petals and shoot the bulb. When side tendrils strike, move sideways out of their path. Once Plant 43 is weakened and the fuel tanks beneath it are exposed, shoot the tanks to finish the encounter.
The Commander / Hunk (Leon)
Parry to make openings
Time hatchet parries to stagger the Commander, then use the opening for slashes or shots. Later, he uses smoke and a steam vent to obscure his movement; be ready to deflect the incoming attack. If he grabs Leon by the neck, complete the QTE to escape.

Victor Gideon (Leon; ending-dependent final fight)
How to reach the fight
Route warning: This final confrontation requires Grace to choose “Release Elpis.” Other choices produce a different ending without this fight, according to Automaton West.
Human form
Victor uses tentacle swipes and thrusts that can be parried. After a successful defense, use his pause to shoot him in the head. Maintain distance to avoid his kick. When he channels electricity, watch for the arena warning and move out of the marked line. After his jump attack, use the recovery pause to aim at his head.

Mutated form
Target the glowing red pustules on his head and arms to stagger him, then destroy the clustered growths lower on his body. Parry arm smashes when possible and keep clear of rapid ground slams. Repeat the exposed-pustule cycle, and complete the final input sequence when he grabs you.
Why boss lists use different counts
FinalBoss.io names eight bosses and notes that lists can reach eleven when optional encounters and split phases are counted separately. GameSpot also covers recurring encounters and distinct phases alongside named arena fights. Neither figure is an official Capcom roster: count differences reflect what each guide treats as a separate boss encounter.
About Resident Evil Requiem
Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as a survival horror game and the ninth main installment in the series. It lists the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a February 27, 2026 release date. Capcom’s announcement also reported franchise-wide cumulative sales exceeding 170 million units as of March 31, 2025; that figure is for the Resident Evil franchise, not Requiem.
