Breed a Bone Dragon with a Macabre Dragon to try for a Wendigo Dragon. Either parent order works, and the listed recipe can be used at any Breeding Cave. The result is not guaranteed, so first check your park’s breeding hint to confirm Wendigo is currently available.

The listed combination is Bone Dragon + Macabre Dragon. The Wendigo entry in the community-maintained DragonVale Wiki says the parents can be selected in either order at any Breeding Cave.
How to try for Wendigo
- Check availability: Open a breeding area and view the in-game breeding hint. Dragon availability can change, and the recipe alone does not confirm Wendigo is breedable in your park right now. DECA’s DragonVale FAQ provides general game context, but does not establish Wendigo’s live status.
- Choose eligible parents: Have both a Bone Dragon and a Macabre Dragon available. General breeding guidance says dragons are selectable as parents from level four.
- Start an attempt: Open any Breeding Cave, select Bone Dragon and Macabre Dragon, then begin breeding. The order does not matter for the listed combination.
- Try again if needed: A failed attempt can produce another dragon. Breeding outcomes depend on the parents and conditions, so there is no guaranteed result after a particular number of tries.
Availability, odds, and cave choice
DragonVale has limited-time dragons; expired dragons are generally not breedable unless a special parent rule applies. The referenced Wendigo recipe does not establish whether the dragon is available on October 8, 2026. Use the hint shown in your own game as the final check, particularly if it differs from a reference page or lists an event-specific restriction.
No reliable Wendigo-specific success percentage is established here, so avoid treating any attempt count or quoted odds as a promise. The listed recipe says any Breeding Cave works for this combination; other dragon categories may have cave restrictions, making the in-game hint useful when the game shows additional conditions.
