Buy fighting game DLC from the store or in-game shop for the exact platform and edition you play, then check the offer’s included items and the publisher’s entitlement rules before paying. Cross-play or cross-save does not, by itself, mean paid DLC transfers between platforms.
Start with the game, platform, and edition
Before searching for an add-on, note the exact game title, the platform you play on, and the edition you own—for example, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, or Microsoft Store PC. Store listings and entitlements can be tied to a particular game product and platform ecosystem.

Search the store page for your platform first. Some add-ons may only be available for purchase through a game’s in-game shop rather than as a separate storefront listing, according to Microsoft’s Store policies and its add-on publishing guide.

A bundle is a package, not a promise that it contains every item for a game. Microsoft Learn defines a bundle as “a collection of games and/or add-ons that customers can purchase as one product in the Microsoft Store.” Its bundle guide distinguishes game bundles from add-on bundles and season passes.

Open the offer’s included-products list and verify each item rather than relying on a label such as “ultimate,” “deluxe,” or “character bundle.” Check whether the base game is included, which characters or other add-ons are named, and whether season-pass content is available now or scheduled for later. Microsoft Learn notes that a season pass is commonly used to promise access to specified new and forthcoming DLC; the offer’s own terms determine which content it covers.
Verify whether DLC works across platforms
Treat cross-play, cross-save, and DLC sharing as separate questions. Playing together or carrying save progress across systems does not establish that a paid add-on transfers too.

Microsoft’s Store policy says digital content managed by Microsoft Store, including Xbox console store purchases, may not roam across gaming networks. Some game-managed bundles of in-game items may roam when the game supports it. That is a platform policy, not a guarantee about every title or every kind of purchase.

For example, Square Enix says FINAL FANTASY XVI DLC must be downloaded separately for the Microsoft Store PC and Xbox versions. Its support page also describes different entitlement behavior for those versions. This is an example for FINAL FANTASY XVI, not a general rule for fighting games. Look for your game publisher’s own support guidance and confirm the account you play on has the entitlement.

Compare offers by what you will actually use
Use the live store listing for the current price and contents; available evidence here does not establish current prices or specific fighting-game offers. Compare offers on these points:
- Content: the exact characters, costumes, stages, currency, or other add-ons listed.
- Base game: whether the bundle includes the game or requires you to own it already.
- Timing: whether each item is available now or is future season-pass content.
- Compatibility: whether the offer matches your platform, game edition, and account.
- Value for your plans: compare the total price with buying only the characters or items you want. A larger bundle is not automatically the better choice for you.
- Refund terms: review the current store policy for your region before downloading or streaming content where those actions affect eligibility.
Check refunds and voucher-code terms before checkout
Refund rules depend on the store and region. PlayStation’s Ireland support guidance says eligible games, DLC, and season passes generally require a refund request within 14 days, and that the content must not have been downloaded or streamed unless it is faulty. This is Ireland-specific guidance, not a worldwide PlayStation rule; check the policy for your own account and region. PlayStation Support: request a refund.

PlayStation says voucher codes are purchased from retailers outside PlayStation Store, so code buyers should ask the selling retailer about its cancellation or refund policy. The same Ireland support page covers this distinction. PlayStation’s March 2026 terms describe Store purchases as personal licenses for private, non-commercial use and make refunds subject to the applicable agreement and current cancellation policy: PlayStation Terms of Service.
For Steam purchases, consult Steam’s current official refund policy before buying or using DLC; the applicable terms should be checked directly rather than assuming a threshold from another store.
