How do you capture Aniimo?
Aniipods are the in-game items used to catch wild Aniimo. The official PlayStation listing describes setting traps and timing catches, but does not provide a step-by-step control sequence or exact capture odds.
Where and when you search matters: the official listing says Aniimo appearances can vary with environment, weather, phenomena, and time of day. If a creature is not appearing, try searching in a different setting or at another time rather than assuming it is available everywhere.
Aniipod tiers: what is and is not confirmed
An unofficial Aniimo Wiki beginner guide names four Aniipod tiers—Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect—and says capture rates vary by creature. It also associates higher-quality pods with better stats. Treat those as guide-reported details, not a verified developer formula: no exact capture probability or per-creature rate is established by the available official information.

Special encounters
Ordinary catches should not be conflated with every special encounter. Pawprint Studio said its Irisalis legendary encounter flow was redesigned across capture, gameplay experience, and encounter ritual in its September 2026 launch post; that statement concerns Irisalis and does not establish a different general capture rule for all Aniimo.
How do you evolve an Aniimo?
Evolution is player-triggered rather than an automatic level-up. Most Aniimo can evolve, but each must meet its own requirements first. In the menu flow described by Prima Games on September 16, 2026:

- Select Aniimo Management.
- Choose the Aniimo you want to evolve.
- Select its Evolve icon, then confirm when the requirements are satisfied.
The guide also reports that a quick-evolve prompt can appear when requirements are met.
Requirements differ by creature
Requirements may involve reaching a level, completing side objectives, or finishing missions. The guide’s early Emberpup example requires completing a Sanctum and meeting a level threshold, but it does not establish a precise level here. Do not assume Emberpup’s conditions apply to other creatures: the sources do not provide a complete, current requirements list for every species.

Evolution is not Twining
Evolution changes a creature’s progression; Twining is a separate mechanic. The PlayStation description says players can Twine with a collected Aniimo and use its skills to solve puzzles, fight, and overcome challenges. Pawprint Studio likewise describes Twining as fusing with an Aniimo to gain abilities and perspectives on its official site. Twining is not the action that evolves a creature.
