For the Rocky Turtle Spoon mission in Fishing Planet, travel to Rocky Lake and catch three turtles. Completing that objective awards the in-game Turtle Spoon. The official mission information does not specify turtle bait, tackle, a fishing spot, or a time of day, so there is no confirmed turtle setup to copy.
How to complete the Rocky Turtle Spoon mission
- Open the Fish Monsters mission list and select Rocky Turtle Spoon.
- Travel to Rocky Lake.
- Catch three turtles and follow the mission tracker until the objective is complete.
- Claim the mission reward: the Turtle Spoon, listed in the game as 1/4 oz (7 g) with a #1/0 hook.
The mission describes the turtles’ shells as the material needed for the lure and frames the turtles as coming to no serious harm. That is the game’s story framing, not real-world animal-handling advice. Fishing Planet’s Fish Monsters mission page gives the objective and reward.

What bait, spot, and timing should you use?
The official pages checked do not give turtle-specific instructions for bait, hook, tackle, cast location, depth, retrieve, weather, or time of day. In other words, the confirmed requirement is to catch the three turtles at Rocky Lake—not to use a particular setup.

Before fishing, check the waterway’s in-game fish and weather information panels, then use the mission tracker to monitor progress. The game’s tutorial recommends checking those panels generally, but its trout guidance does not establish a turtle method. The Rocky Lake location page provides general waterway information, not a verified turtle-catching recipe.

If you see a community post recommending coordinates or specific tackle, treat it as anecdotal rather than a confirmed mission requirement. Bite behavior can change with game updates; a June 2026 release-note summary mentions Rocky Lake adjustments, including bite-rate changes, but does not establish that turtle mission behavior changed.
Why catch turtles?
The three turtles are a prerequisite for earning the Turtle Spoon, which is used in a separate Rocky Lake monster-fish objective. The official Tyrannotrout entry identifies the Turtle Spoon as the monster fish’s preferred lure. Catching turtles completes the unlock stage; it does not mean the turtles are the Tyrannotrout, and the reward is an in-game lure rather than physical fishing tackle.
