Text and subtitle options
Nintendo’s store listing describes English voices and subtitles in English, Italian, and German. It does not document a subtitle-language selector, a text-size control, or how to reach either option in the Switch game. Nintendo’s Switch listing confirms the listed language support, but not the settings used to change it.

Steam advertises adjustable text size as an accessibility feature for its PC listing. That is evidence about the Steam version only; it does not confirm that the Switch edition has the same feature or uses the same menu labels. Steam’s listing should not be treated as a Switch settings guide.
Audio settings
Nintendo describes English voices and a dynamic original soundtrack, but its listing does not identify in-game volume sliders or an audio-settings menu. Steam advertises custom volume controls for its listing; their availability and layout on Switch are unconfirmed. If you need to adjust sound, look in the game’s title or pause menu, but do not assume a specific slider or path is present.

Change button assignments through Switch system settings
If your goal is to use different button assignments, Nintendo documents a console-level button-assignment option for supported controllers. This is separate from any controls menu the game may provide; it changes the controller mapping at the system level rather than confirming an in-game remapping feature. Nintendo’s button-assignment support article explains the system option. The article focuses on Nintendo Classics, so check the current Switch settings and controller support for your setup.
- Open the Nintendo Switch system settings and look for the button-assignment controls.
- Select a supported controller and review its current assignments.
- Change the assignments you need, then check the on-screen prompts before returning to the game.
Nintendo’s support page documents button assignments for supported controllers, not a game-specific preset for Uncle Lee’s Cookbook. If a controller is not supported by the system option, this method will not remap it.
