AULA keyboard lighting shortcuts vary by model. Find the model number first, then use the matching combination. The F65 and F99 use Fn + Tab; the S3187 and F3099 use Fn + End; the F3001 uses Fn + Del in supported static modes; and the S99 uses Fn + Ctrl. The F75 Wired Version has fixed backlighting and cannot change color.
There is no single color-change shortcut for every AULA gaming keyboard. The correct key combination depends on the exact model. First find the model name—such as F65, F75, F99, F3001, F3099, S99, or S3187—on the keyboard’s underside, retail box, manual, or product listing. Then use the matching shortcut below.

How to change the color on a compatible AULA keyboard
- Identify the exact model. Check the label underneath the keyboard, the original box, the instruction manual, or the product page. Do not assume that two keyboards with similar names use the same shortcut.
- Check whether the lighting is customizable. Some AULA keyboards support several colors or RGB effects, while other versions use fixed backlighting. The F75 Wired Version is a documented example of a model whose backlight is fixed.
- Hold Fn. Keep the Fn key pressed while tapping the color key listed for your model: Tab, End, Del, or Ctrl.
- Repeat the shortcut if needed. These combinations generally cycle through preset colors or modes; they may not open a full color picker. Press the same combination again until the desired color appears.
- Release Fn and test the result. If the keyboard is using a moving rainbow, wave, breathing, or other dynamic pattern, the selected color may be difficult to see until you switch to a static mode.
Color, lighting effects, brightness, and speed are different controls
AULA’s shortcuts do not necessarily control the same part of the lighting system. A color shortcut may select a hue, while a separate shortcut changes whether the keys stay lit, pulse, wave, or cycle through colors. Brightness and animation speed may also have their own controls.

The S3187 illustrates the distinction clearly:
- Fn + End: change the lighting color.
- Fn + PgUp: cycle through lighting effects.
- Fn + Up/Down: increase or decrease brightness.
- Fn + Left/Right: adjust effect speed.
If you want one steady color, select a static effect first, then use the color shortcut. This is especially important on the F3001, whose documentation limits color changing to supported static modes.
What if your AULA model is not listed?
Use the manual or official product page for the exact model. AULA’s keyboard range uses different lighting layouts, and a shortcut that works on an F99 may do nothing on an F75, F65, or another revision. Search the model number together with “manual” or “lighting shortcuts,” and verify that the document describes your exact layout and connection version.

If you are considering a replacement rather than troubleshooting the current keyboard, compare an AULA gaming keyboard by exact model, layout, connection type, and lighting capability. Buying another keyboard is not necessary merely to change the color on a compatible unit, and AULA models do not all offer the same lighting controls.
Using AULA software or a driver
Some AULA keyboards support configuration through model-specific software, and the F99 Pro product information describes driver-based RGB-effect customization. Software is not required for every AULA keyboard: several models document onboard Fn shortcuts instead.

If the manual documents onboard lighting shortcuts, try those before installing software.
Troubleshooting: the color shortcut does nothing
1. Verify the model
Confirm the model printed on the keyboard itself, not just the seller’s broad product title. Similar AULA keyboards can use different color keys. For example, the F65 and F99 use Fn + Tab, while the F3099 and S3187 use Fn + End.

2. Hold Fn while pressing the second key
Press and hold Fn first, then tap the documented key. Pressing the color key by itself will usually perform its ordinary keyboard function rather than change the lighting.
3. Check the connection mode
If the keyboard supports wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz modes, confirm that it is in the intended mode. Some software functions or reset procedures may require a wired connection. If the keyboard is not responding properly, connect it by USB and retry the model-specific instructions.
4. Switch out of the dynamic effect
If the shortcut changes the animation but not to a clearly visible single color, use the model’s effect-cycle control to find a static mode. A moving effect can make a color appear to change, cycle, or override the selected hue.

5. Check for fixed lighting
If the keyboard is an F75 Wired Version, the backlight is fixed according to AULA’s product information. In that case, repeated shortcuts and a driver should not be presented as a guaranteed color-change solution. Another model may be required if selectable lighting is important.
6. If the official driver cannot detect the keyboard
- Confirm that the driver matches the full model name and version.
- Connect the keyboard using the mode recommended in its manual, preferably wired when configuring it.
- Close software intended for another keyboard model.
- Follow the reset procedure in the exact manual rather than applying a generic AULA reset.
A reset can restore default lighting or erase custom settings, so record any profiles you want to recreate before using one.
Do not confuse the keyboard’s case color with its backlight color
AULA listings may offer physical keyboard colors such as black, white, blue, or pink. That describes the case, keycaps, or product finish—not necessarily the color emitted by the backlight. A keyboard can have a white case with RGB lighting, or a colored case with a fixed single-color backlight. Check the lighting specifications separately.

Why does my AULA keyboard change effects but not show one color?
