Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo change a private Yahoo Fantasy Football league’s draft order, use the desktop site’s commissioner settings after confirming the league’s team list is complete. For a standard draft, set a custom manager order under Commissioner → Draft & Keeper → Edit Draft Settings. To change picks round by round, use the separate Edit Draft Order & Assign Keeper Players tool; Yahoo says round-by-round edits aren’t available on mobile.
Before you change the order: finalize the team list
Check that every expected manager has joined before finalizing the teams. Yahoo’s instruction is: “First step – Finalize your team list to begin (no new managers can join after doing this).” Finalizing prevents managers from joining or leaving. If you later unlock the team list, Yahoo says it resets draft-order and pick changes, so you will need to set those again. See Yahoo’s team-list instructions.

Only the league commissioner can use the commissioner workflow below. Yahoo’s private-league settings guide identifies draft order as a commissioner setting.
Change the overall order for a standard draft
- On the Yahoo Fantasy desktop site, open Fantasy Football and select the correct league.
- Click Commissioner, then Draft & Keeper. Some Yahoo help pages call this tab Draft & Keepers.
- Click Edit Draft Settings and choose Custom.
- Adjust the manager order, then choose the rotation.
- Click Continue to customize rounds, or click Done to finish.
Yahoo’s private-league draft guide describes this workflow. Snaking reverses the order each round, so the manager who picks last in one round picks first in the next. Non-Snaking keeps the same order in every round. The Edit Draft Settings workflow sets the overall custom order; use the separate tool below for round-by-round picks.

Set different picks for individual rounds
For round-level changes, open Commissioner → Draft & Keeper and choose Edit Draft Order & Assign Keeper Players. Select Custom Order and Keeper League Players, adjust the order and rotation, then continue to customize rounds or finish. Yahoo explicitly says round-by-round picks cannot be customized on mobile, so use the desktop site for this task. The steps are in Yahoo’s draft guide.
Salary Cap drafts use nomination order
A Salary Cap draft does not use the standard draft’s snake order. To set its nomination order, go to Commissioner → Draft & Keeper → Edit Draft Settings, choose Custom, set the preferred nomination order, and submit. Yahoo also lists Salary Cap Settings as a separate place to configure other Salary Cap options and nomination order. Do not treat nomination order as the round-by-round pick order of a Live Standard draft.

Can you do this in the Yahoo Fantasy app?
The apps provide a general route to commissioner tools: Fantasy Home → choose sport → league → League → Tools → Commissioner tools, select a tool, then tap Done. Yahoo cautions that some commissioner tools are desktop-only, and round-by-round customization specifically is unavailable on mobile. App labels can vary by version. See Yahoo’s instructions for the Android app and iOS app.
If the draft has already happened
Yahoo’s draft guide discusses resetting a draft when pre-draft settings need adjustment and says a completed draft can be reset up to three times. The available instructions do not establish that a completed draft’s order can be changed in place, so do not assume it can be edited without a reset. Resetting an ongoing or paused draft permanently deletes its current draft results, stats, and transactions. Confirm Yahoo Help’s current reset flow before proceeding, particularly if the season is underway.
