If you no longer have access to that inbox, contact Support through the game and complete its ownership checks.
Before you change the email
- Choose an address you can access that is not already connected to a Supercell ID.
- Some email domains may be unsupported. If the game rejects the new address, try another one; Supercell does not provide a definitive list of unsupported domains in its reviewed guidance.
- Supercell says there is no limit to how many times you can change your Supercell ID email. The option may be unavailable if Supercell considers the account unsecured. Supercell’s email-change instructions explain these conditions.
Change your email when you can access the current inbox
- Open the game account connected to the Supercell ID you want to update.
- Open Settings, then select Supercell ID.
- Tap the settings cogwheel and choose Change Email.
- Confirm that you can access the current Supercell ID email address.
- Retrieve the verification code sent to that current address and enter it in the game.
- Follow the remaining on-screen prompts to complete the change.
If you cannot access the old email
The normal change flow verifies the request through the current inbox, so use in-game Support if you cannot open it. In the game, go to Settings > Help and Support, explain that you have lost access to the linked email, and follow the ownership-verification process. Support may help replace the address if it verifies that you own the account. Have a replacement email ready that is not already linked to a Supercell ID. See Supercell’s guidance for lost email access.

How Account Protection can help
If Account Protection is enabled, SMS verification or a Recovery Code may help verify ownership when you contact Support. Recovery Codes are intended to help recover an account or change its associated email. Account Protection is not available to Young Player accounts, accounts with unusual activity, or accounts in the countries listed on Supercell’s Account Protection page.
Fix common verification-code problems
- No code arrived: Check spam and inbox rules, search for Supercell ID messages, and make sure you are checking the current linked email address.
- The code is rejected: Only the most recently issued code works. Requesting another code makes earlier codes unusable.
- You entered the code incorrectly three times: Supercell says it will not send another code for 24 hours. Wait until that period has passed before trying again. The timing rule is described in Supercell’s verification-code help.
- The new address is refused: It may already be connected to a Supercell ID or use an unsupported domain. Try a different address you control.
Keep the linked email and verification codes secure
Supercell recommends enabling two-factor authentication on the email account associated with your Supercell ID. Treat verification codes as account credentials: never give one to someone who unexpectedly contacts you claiming to be Support. Supercell says to share codes only with Support in a conversation you initiated through in-game Help and Support. Read its account-safety guidance for more.
