Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo use Gmail with your Supercell ID, change the email address attached to the ID in the game: open Settings > Supercell ID, tap the settings gear, and choose Change Email. Enter a Gmail address you can access that is not already linked to a Supercell ID. If you can access the current email, Supercell will send a verification code there. Supercell’s email-change instructions describe this as changing your Supercell ID email, not linking a separate Google account.
Change your Supercell ID email to Gmail
- Open the game account associated with the Supercell ID you want to update.
- Make sure the Gmail address is accessible to you and is not already connected to a Supercell ID. Supercell allows an existing or new email address, provided it meets that requirement.
- In the game, open Settings > Supercell ID, then tap the settings gear.
- Choose Change Email beside the current Supercell ID email.
- If you can access the current email, confirm that in the prompt and enter the verification code sent to that address.
- Follow the remaining in-game prompts to complete the change.
Supercell says there is no limit to how many times an email can be changed. However, the change option may be disabled for accounts it considers unsecured, and those accounts may not receive verification codes. See Supercell’s guidance on changing a Supercell ID email.

If you cannot access the old email
Do not claim access to the old address if you cannot receive its mail. Contact Supercell from inside the game instead: open Settings > Help and Info, open the menu, and select Leave a message. Supercell’s support team can advise you about the account-specific recovery options.
If Gmail is rejected or the Google button is missing
Supercell ID does not accept the Gmail address
Supercell says some email domains are unsupported. If the game reports that the address is unsupported, try another email address that Supercell ID accepts. The address must also not already be connected to a Supercell ID. Supercell’s About Supercell ID page covers supported sign-in and email basics.

The Google sign-in button is gone
Changing the Google account used by Google Play Games is a separate task from changing the email attached to Supercell ID. Supercell directs players to manage Google account switching in the Play Games app or the device’s settings. For switching between multiple game accounts, Supercell recommends using Supercell ID. Read Supercell’s guidance on the missing Google button and accounts.
You want to use your progress in another Supercell game
That is different from changing your Supercell ID email. To access progress in another supported Supercell game, log in there with the email address associated with your Supercell ID. Supercell explains how Supercell ID works across games.
